Awol

Hi Guys,

I can't promise pics right now, have my head buried so far in the text books that I just haven't had time to check the forums. It sucks to work and study at the same time, this is the first time I've been online in a week or so, I was having withdrawl symptoms.

As soon as I can get my ...

Thanks for the head-up Deacon, will be refering to it as a Merlin from here on out.

If memory serves the box says C08SBK, it does have the same bolt etc as the Tasman Salt. (clip is not molded)

Thanks for clearing that up for me, much appreciated.

Harpy / Merlin confusion

A while ago I posted about the Harpy I was to receive for my B'day.

My brilliant GF bought it for me and I didn't handle it before hand. The barcode on the box says C08 which tells me its a Harpy (That and it says Harpy right next to that)
Perhaps I'm just working too hard, but last night I got to ...

Sorry to bump up an oldie but,

I stumbled on this thread and felt I had to contribute, humour me.

This one used to come to mind quite often:

"No matter how hot she is; someone is tired of her $***"

Another one, maybe not funny but probably true:

"If voting could change anything it'd be illegal"

My old man served

Looking forward to hearing how the spydies hold up.

Don't ever feel depressed or down about what people might say to you with regards to your service.
Know there are people out there who admire and value beyond words the sacrifice you are making, even if they be from another country.

I don't care ...

Exchange rate

NativeAmerican, thanks for the rate info. I used to work for AMEX in the UK. You are right though I shouldn't get excited because I got the knife at an almost normal price. (no sarcasm or nastyness implied) I'm just so used to getting ripped off here. We usually get a rate close to R12 or even as ...

My First Spydie!

Hi all,

You may recall I was trying to decide which Spydie to get first, the delica or endure or Native. The only store that stocks spyderco in my town has a Harpy (SE) on display, which the sales clerk tried to tell me was a Tasman.
Anyway, I think I must have the best GF ever. My birthday's ...

Black cat peanut butter sandwiches

I hope Zenith doesn't mind me answering you question, its a South Afican thing.

You see what you do is you grab a black cat, cook in peanut butter and then after a lengthy (secret) preparation process you are able to derive a paste which you would then use on your sandwhiches.

Just kidding ...

Thanks Datan, I do like the look of the native and the price is in the same range. If you could get hold of a Native I would you purchase it?

I'm afriad comming across a spydie in a store in SA is so rare, especially where I live. I asked them to order both models so I can choose, but they want to ...

In search of wisdom: Delica/Endura

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums and to spyderco, I can't help but be impressed by all I've read and heard and especially the amazing photo's found here.

I'm sure this question may have been asked before; I have tried the search function but haven't been able to find any information that would lead ...
