I am a strictly tip-up person. I have found that it is the easiest method no matter what you intend on doing after your knife is drawn, and it is the fastest for me.

I too have quite large hands (especially for my age) and I was trying to decide whether to buy the copilot or navigator. In the end I ended up ordering the copilot. However, during my search i also considered the VG-10 Mouse knife. You should think about it.
