I only free hand sharpen now. My progression is DMT coarse - DMT fine and then Spyderco medium. I rarely go with the white stone anymore. I find the brown stone gives me a great working edge.

I'm assuming that your talking about the 520? If so just pick up a bone collector and use the handle from that. You can find them for $100.
