Why don't you ask him that on his YouTube channel?
Ohh. He's a "YouTube Guy". That makes his opinion valid. I hear it is pretty tough to get one of those YouTube channels. Anything he says must be true.

I only free hand sharpen now. My progression is DMT coarse - DMT fine and then Spyderco medium. I rarely go with the white stone anymore. I find the brown stone gives me a great working edge.

I've had a Strider SnG in my pocket everyday at work since Apr 2012. I don't have an office job, I wrench on machines in a factory so it gets used and mildly abused every day. I don't think it has worn in at all. Usually about every couple of weeks I get enough crud built up in the knife that the lo...

No thanks. No sprint runs. I don't want to buy my hat on eBay for triple what it would cost direct from Spyderco. I just would like a new hat.

I look like a bum.

Well at least when I go to work. I wrench on machines for a living and we are required to wear either hair nets or hats because we make some products for beverage and pharmaceutical companies. I have a few hats I rotate through - Cleveland Indians, Strider, and a Spyderco hat. When getting ready to ...

I believe the correct term the kids are using now a days for the all black knives is "murdered out". Yeah I'm pretty groovy. I keep up with the slang.

I'm assuming that your talking about the 520? If so just pick up a bone collector and use the handle from that. You can find them for $100. Not sure if that is a lot more than having your handle duracoated but the bone collector g10 is the nicest g10 I've ever handled on a knife... http://i230.photo...

I do not pre-order knives. I do not pay inflated prices on online auction sites. I do not like to "hunt" for sale forums. Therefore I do not buy sprint runs. Have there been runs that I would have liked to get in on? You bet. I realize sprint runs cannot be produced in quantities equal to ...

I love my Sodbusters! I think if Spyderco could make one in Golden with modern materials and keep the street price around $80 USD they would find a following. Smooth FRN handles with a nice hollow ground 154CM blade - yup I'll take one. For those not hip to the sodbuster... http://fc01.deviantart.ne...

And who needs those autos and balisongs anyways? Endura wave and zip tie mods are way more faster.Even the military and other models are as fast to deploy. It is hard to do a Y2K-Full Twirl-Arial Combo with an Endura. Balisong knives are fun to manipulate as well as having the strongest lock on a f...

While I do not own a Manix 2 I do own a Benchmade 520 that has 154CM steel. I have used this knife for years, used it hard, and used it a lot. I think for a general purpose steel 154CM is just about perfect. It sharpens up easily and holds a great edge. I was hoping to see the new Para 2 come out wi...

would olive oil as a lubricant work on a knife that often used to cut food? of course it will be washed with soap and water before the olive oil. It would work but the olive oil could turn rancid. A better solution for food safe lubrication is mineral oil, which is food safe and won't turn nasty on...

I love it! The Para 2 isn't even out yet and we are calling out our favorite sprint ideas  . I think the Para 2 is going to be a huge hit for the Spyder Crew, and I for one can't wait. On topic of the inevitable Para 2 Sprint run I'd like to nominate CPM-3V as the blade steel, paired with what...
