Ladybug - small knife - big cut.
As well as working out on site I’m increasingly working in the office . I needed a knife that would fit into the office environment and wouldn’t scare the many sheeples there, enter the Ladybug. Today I’m out on site and need to cut some sight lines through some fir trees for the survey instrument. ...

Just as a matter of interest, why are balisongs banned in so many places ? It can't be because of their opening speed. Any half decent folder can be flicked open faster than a bali. Even when I drop open a bali whilst holding the latch into an ice pick grip (about the fastest opening I know), it sti...

What lube ?
What lubricating agent do you recommend ? I used to use 3 in 1, it produces a fast action, but leaves the knife slippery and a definite dirt maganet. On recommendation I have tried Teflon-Plus. Very good in coating the knife with a protective covering without the slipperiness and does produce a smoo...

Put it this way, I have had a few folders (mainly Benchmades) and whilst looking for a small knife I decided to go for the Ladybug as it would give my first taste of a Spyderco knife. Well I was so impressed with the Ladybug I imediatly went out and bought a Military. I now want more Spydies, but to...

Custom sheaths
This is a little OT but I know a few of you carry Leathermans.
Q - Anyone know who does / could make custom sheaths / cases for a Leatherman Wave ?
I like the feal of the original leather case but the belt loop is just too small and to be honest I would prefer a belt clip.

Lets face it, the Military looks just plain mean. It's not just the length (which is impressive), it's the depth of the blade as well. This is a lot of steel which tapers to a needle point, add in teeth that would make a shark blush and you have something that will worry most sheeples. Working both ...

Why point up ?
Probably a simple reason, but I can't think of one. Why are some knives designed with their clips orientated for point up carry ?? OK, it's going to take a lot of jumping around on rough terrain for the knife to partially open in your pocket, but why risk it ? The thought of reaching into a pocket a...

Thanks for the Military
What a great knife. After trying the Landybug (needed a small knife for the keyring), I was so impressed I decided to try the Military. The grip seems molded for my hand alone, absolutly no hint of play in the blade or lock, and a blade that would be just as suited to skinning whales as it would be ...

Sharpening serrated blades
Hi Guys.
Some advice if you can. I’ve been a plain blade man for some time, but have decided to try a Spydico serrated blade (probably the Military). The only thing that bothers me is the correct method for sharpening a serrated blade.
Any help appreciated.
