Welcome aboard dtp9. Many different answers to this question. If it was a partially serated blade I would go with the Delica BK as it is 50/50 whereas the Native LW is 65/35 which is a bit too much serations for me. Don't discount a SS handle. Even though they are a touch heavier (who's really going...

If just one it would have to be my PE SS Delica. This is based on the fact that in part I work in a high density sheeple area. But as well as that the SS Delica feals really nice in the hand and cuts like a demon. The only thing I would change would be to upgrade the blade to VG-10. That said it wou...

Hi Sal. I had the fealing that it would be difficult to set the machinery up for each handle type, i.e. FRN AFAIK is poured in a mould, and G-10 and SS machined. If it was just a matter of costs how about making some knives with different handle material to order. I know I would pay extra to get a D...

Civilian video
I've not long had my Civilian and whilst going through the paper work that came with it I noticed Spyderco giving thanks to James Keating for the video he made on it's use.
Anyone seen the video or know of it's availability ?

It's not quite as simple as that. Although all knives are to a certain extent multi-purpose, most are biased towards a certain task, i.e. the Gunting for defence, the Tim Wergner for skinning, the harpy for rope cutting, the Civilian for slashing, etc. This is especially true of the Spyderco range. ...

Think of the Spyderwrench as a middle ground between conventional multi tools and deadicated tools. Leatherman and SAK's are aimed at light duty use, the Spyderwrench is for medium duty tasks. If you want heavy duty then you should be using a dedicated spanner, knife, screwdriver, etc. This is a gre...
