Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Endela PE, Double stuff2, and CBN rods.

Oh, and canvas micarta scales for the Endela. Although those have a waiting period. Can't decide if I want OD green, Brown, or black scales though... :p

Re: The Ladybug is a full size knife

I have a bunch of them in different variations, in different places but LBK SE Hawkbill is on my car keys, always. With the keys I get a full grip. Handy little claw for edc opening tasks, and useful as a seat belt cutter too, if needed.

Re: New fixed blade - need help

Sal, since you asked, IMHO, with all do respect, whatever you design, please, NO finger choil. And if possible, make the blade start from the handle, or as close as possible. Think Bill Moran without the "choil". just my humble opinion. when whittling or working with wood etc, I personally...

Try the Yo2.
The thing just flies open with middle finger.. and it feels natural once you do it a couple of times.

800+1200 grit Sandpaper and Scotchbrite and some elbow grease did the trick on FRN Street Beat.

Wow!
so this is happening.. great!
I'm cool that the blade show attendees get priority, I'm in no hurry :D
It is awesome that all of us forumites get a chance, and it is a generic badge.

Just a question Taz, any chance of Paypal option?

Re: Get a bug name tag with your screen name for Blade show

Are they going to say Blade Show on them or just be Spyderco/forum name specific? I kinda wish they will be "generic" since id prefer that over having them commemorate an event I didn't attend.. Exactly, I'd be much happier with a "Spyderco Forum badge" than a Blade Show badge. ...

Re: All those knife reviews, “oy veh!”

I do watch reviews just for fun, but skip many of them too after a minute or two, if the reviewer is not up to the task. When a new Spydie comes available, I like to see a vid with size comparison against a well known knife, pref a Spydie. Everyone should use a Delica or Dragonfly to show the relati...

That's interesting. I always assumed that there was like 3-4 different sized tubes, varying lenghts of course, and that's it.
Hope the other posters can help you out, at least for the dimensions.

Re: Spyderco Captain help

I bet there's some other models that have the same size tube.
For a cheap solution, if it is a user, you can roughly measure the hole and get some copper tube/pipe. It is very easy to work with, so you can "roll your own" if there's no other alternative.

Re: Best budget blades ($50 and under)

I guess I sinned.. got myself a CS Pendleton mini hunter. Main reason was the steel, VG1. I tested it out whittling some seasoned birch log, and no broblemo, still shaves hair. The handle is.. well.. meh. I kinda like the rubbery kraton(?) since it gives you a secure grip, but on the other hand... m...
