I'm such a low life scum. You see, I had 2 orange paramilitaries that I bought. You know, the ones where everyone had ample notice about them being an upcoming sprint, and then ample time to purchase once they went on sale..... What did I do just yesterday though? I sold one....for a profit. You see...

This has been an educational thread. I've learned that buying a Spyderco knife with the intent to resell is exactly like withholding food, water, medicine and shelter from disaster victims by massively raising the prices. Although we were assured that this practice, despite being illegal in most st...

Completely agree that the whole situation was ridiculous. Makes absolutely no sense. My only question is why walk in to an establishment that could very possibly have rules against carrying a knife with it clipped to your pocket? Were they asking everybody this, or because he saw it clipped to yout ...

Everyone is going to tell you something different, but in IMO there most ceratinly is a disadvantage of tip down carry. I find it hard to argue that tip down is NOT as safe as tip up when tip up carry......in the front pocket at least. In the front pocket, right hand tip up for example....the blade ...

ummmmm.......he** yes! Love the captain and would love to see a comeback. Would prefer not to see it in orange, but would probbaly buy it anyway. One of my absolute favorites as a camping and outdoor knife. My only regret was selling my extra I had. Wish I'd never done that. I carry mine a little le...

Anybody river fish in a kayak?

I do a lot of fishing in the rivers and streams here in Ohio. A buddy and I have a mad river canoe that we use when we both go. When I go myself I have to rent a kayak. I'm looking at some different kayaks for fishing and wondered what any of you might use. I know you can use anything, but there are...

How about some premium steel sprint runs in black G10?

Don't get me wrong......... I like the occasional non traditional color. There do seem to be a number of people who prefer the basic and classic black though. I'm included in that. I'd love to have a para 2 in black g10 with a really good steel. A black para 2 or a black military in M390...............

I don't think you can go wrong with either. They're my two favorites without question. I generally carry the S90V para 2 and the blue ZDP stretch, but also carry the ones you mentioned. Ask me my favorite knife and I'll tell you the para 2. Ask me which knife I carry more and I'll tell you the Stret...

I have 6 Para 2s so far, and I've never had to break any of them in. A pivot adjustment was needed on a couple of them (for slight blade play), but that always fixed any problems. They are all a little bit different, with slightly different detent strengths and lock tension, etc. But they all opera...

Try out your tenacious, but then really look at the tasman salt. I use mine fishing all the time. When you're wading you can attach it to a long lanyard and a belt loop to make sure it doesn't get dropped in the water. When I'm fishing from a kayak, mine just sits on the kayak floor. Like everyone s...

Digicam Paramilitay 2

I actually just set this one on the ground here after using it and realized how well it blended in with the colors all around. Decided I should take a few pics. The new paramilitary 2 is by far my favorite spyderco knife. For me it's the perfect combination of size and weight, and I love the compres...

Yes, I haven't been around for awhile, wasn't aware of the GITD Manix and...wow! This is why you should never be away from the Spyder forums for too long... Oops, my bad :o I must have misunderstood. I read it as he was specifically looking for G-10 and was trying to eliminate confusion by pointing out that the Manix is not G-10. My apologies. :) No biggie...that may be what he wanted...we just focused on two different parts of his posts...I just wante...

No, obviously it's not G10, but Bolstermaniac hasn't been around for a while (hasn't posted for months), and doesn't seem to know that there were GITD scales of any kind available
