Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?

Personally, I'd like to see a waved Meadowlark. Currently, I believe that the Endura-sized Cara Cara is the only waved Byrd knife. In my opinion, the Delica size range is ideal for EDC, especially in jurisdictions where blade length is an issue. A waved Meadowlark would cover that niche. A waved Rob...

There's a company called 5x5 solutions that makes an attachable wave. No experience with it but I believe Michael Janich was testing it on his Yojimbo at one point.
Those look to be a vast improvement over the "Fang" made by Wise Men Company.

I am not sure why a person would want to ruin a perfectly good Spydie-hole??
That's the whole point of this mod - it is completely removable if you don't like it.

Alternative to Zip-Tie Wave - Kwik Thumb Stud

I haven't been on the forum for awhile, but I've been lurking a bit. I had some login issues, but TazKristi got it all squared away! It's good to be back! I have stumbled onto a slightly more elegant temporary wave solution than the tried-and-true ziptie wave fro Spydercos. For years, the Kwik Thumb...

Any new updates on a release date for the G10 Kiwi? GPKnives is saying that it will be in the second quarter of 2014.

I haven't been around spydercoforums much in the last couple years, but I'm psyched about this knife!

Personally, I have had some bad experiences with using knives to cut zip-ties - nothing to do with blade integrity, though. I much prefer nail clippers or, failing that, scissors for the task.

I've seen the fake Spins on eBay before, but they are usually being sold for a too-good-to-be-true price. This guy is not just selling counterfeits, but he's intentionally pawning them off as the real thing at prices close enough to retail to make someone think they're just getting a great deal.

You literally cannot attach a bigger split-ring through the hole than the one provided with the clip! Wow, Mono, you sure can hold a grudge! I agree with your point that the split ring that comes with it is very fiddly, but it's not impossible to deal with. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I've ch...

Picture Request: Caly3 or UKPK, Chaparral, and Junior

I currently own the Spyderco UKPK and the Caly3. I'm considering picking up another FFG Spyderco in this general size range and really like the looks of both the Chaparral and the Junior. Could somebody who has either a Caly3 or UKPK and the Chaparral and Junior post pictures of all the knives for a...

Wow! With all due respect to Sal and the rest of the Spyderco team, I think this year's line-up is the best that I have ever seen. Usually, I want a couple of the knives that I see. This year I want the majority of the knives. This a really impressive line-up. I had pretty much settled on the knives...

No, just because his skills are limited to milling. Which in turn limits his designs to what he can make on his milling machine. And that is not enough to make a decent knife. What about the SPOT and Swick? They are milled or otherwise machined and are very good knives, at least in my opinion. Ther...

Have you looked at the Boker Plus Edit? It's minimalist & a small fixed blade, Chad Los Banos designed in the Subcom theme I like the overall design of the Boker Plus Edit better than any of the Boker - Los Banos designs, but I don't much care for the slotted cut-outs - I think holes would have...

Make it with a 2mm stock and it'll make one **** of a utility knife and I'll take 2. :D I agree - it does need to be thinner. If made from a thinner stock, it would be a great bare bones utility knife. I mean the guy is still a rookie with one rather limited design out that just doesn't appeal to e...

For what it cost its not a bad deal. I don't see the point of a spyderco collab just suck it up and buy the real thing the guy isn't asking much for an american chunk of steel. Good luck with that "concealed grip" they show in the video... Ouch!!! True enough. I'm also not too sure about the "Punch Grip", but the normal forward and reverse grips look pretty good. What I find appealing is that it has just enough handle to get a really good grip on it. I...

I Would Love to See a Spyderco Collaboration Like This!

A lot of knife companies are making small, stubby 2- or 3-finger fixed blades that can be carried in the pocket. These seem to be pretty popular. Spyderco's smallest fixed knife to date is the SPOT (unless I'm mistaken), which is still rather large for pocket carry. I recently came across a unique n...
