. Only one drawback is that sliced vegetable sticks to the blade, the same effect as with using Kai Shun.
I've read and been told that the hollow edge is supposed to help keep stuff from sticking to the blade Zdenek. My Santoku has the hollow edge on it, it's the only one of my kitchen knives ...

I know the steel is something of an exotic and more expensive but it would be nice if it was a set with ZDP 189  . My primary kitchen knives are Henkel but I've got the good fortune to have a William Henry paring knife with ZDP 189 steel and a warncliffe profile. I like my Henkels but I LOVE ...

I'll always love the delica in FRN better probably. I've taken the time to look the G10 delica over and I just prefer the hollow grind blade and FRN handle of the original. Don't get me wrong the G10 Delica is AWESOME but some reason I only think of the delica and endura as light weight work knives ...

I've had the Delica CE, the Delica PE, and the wave Delica PE. The only one I was somewhat unhappy with was the combo edge, it was a great knife but I prefer a knife that's either fully serrated or plain edge. That one was a delica 2, I think, it ended up being given to a female friend of mine who ...

Ouch, this is a tough one. Hmmmm I can't pick one because I always carry two. One for the EDC jobs and the other for one of those down a dark alleyway situations. So I'll go with the Endura 4 plain edge for EDC and the carbon fiber serrated Harpy for MBC.

Out of curiosity have you also considered the tenacious? The only thing you might run into is that it's bigger than either the crow or the delica but still for the price I think it's definitely worth a look. The msrp on the tenacious is a bit more than the crow but it's less than the delica and if ...

Thank you all for your suggestions on knife stores and online companies to check out. I managed to get over to Beck's Cutlery today and was simply blown away. The customer service and selection of knives was everything I was led to believe by the members of this forum and then some. After I managed ...

Mastiff, you are absolutely right about Richard. He's been very nice and he's very knowledgeable, every knife I've gotten there has been from him. Every time I've dealt with Richard I've been happy but I'm sick of going in there when he's not there and the rest of the staff don't know anything at ...

Raleigh area knife nuts beware
To all the knife and gun enthusiasts in the Raleigh Durham area of North Carolina, sadly I have found that the shop known as Davi's Indoor Range and Shooting sports is a store to avoid. Their knife selection is not what it used to be and unless one specific person, Richard, is working there I've had ...

Well Jaislandboy to be honest I got the Impala at the time because it was one of the first spyderco knives I'd seen with a linerlock and that paired with a heavy blade and the g10 scales had me hooked. Action is very smooth and it's a knife I used to carry for SD because the handle comes to a nice ...

Though I should probably be more consistent in what I carry it tends to vary more on my mood and my instincts. If I'm going out for a walk at night and feel wary I carry either my harpy or civilian, I only carry the civilian if I'm REALLY wary. I'm religious though on where I carry my knives, always ...
