Hi vito72 Yes it is by no means a lower priced knife, but for me I suppose since I wanted my Gunting style knife back so badly and seeing the just insane prices on Ebay, $94.00 for this HUGE knife just did not seem so bad. Especially when I have been used to paying well over $100.00 for a Civilian w...

Hi vito72 One thing to pay mind to is the function of the knife. Its not a Bowie used to hack down trees, it has a specific purpose in life, that is to defend ones life and as a EDC. (try to use the Guntings dagger like shape for EDC use compard to the persian style of this) S30V would not benefit y...

I just got my LLC Magnum yesterday, the Gunting was one of my favorites aside from the Civilian model. I was so sad that I sold my Gunting. But in all honesty, when I found out about the LLC and took the plunge (only 94 bucks for the magnum from knife outlet) this thing is everything the Gunting was...

I must say, I have always loved the Gunting (I sold mine long ago :( ), I came across the LLC when pricing the guntings on ebay last month. I got my Magnum yesterday, WOW This thing is big and solid. I love the gunting to a fault, but in all honesty I think this truely is everything the gunting was ...

The idea is actually quite old. I have seen old folding Bowie type knives with the swing guard in a museum in Columbus. Indeed, Ive seen the old Marbles Safety Lock, the problem with them was it was a pain to get the blade out and push the blade guard in. (and vica versa) Good idea though, especial...

Hey! I've got an LFK. I use it every time I go fishing / hunting / general outdoors trip. It's a great knife, and solide when closed and open. The blade is a little on the thin side, made with 440c, but holds up well. The only concern for the long run, may be the liner lock. IMPO Yes thats my conce...

Ah boy here we go....
I can just see the head lines now..."man stabs himself in the eye while cleaning gun" :P

The stupid ways so many people handle firearms truly leaves me in disbelief at times.

Interesting addition though...

I miss my Glock 21 :( , shes back in South Africa. Looking at getting one this side shortly soon as my finances are in order. Looking at either a Glock 21SF or a Glock 36. I do love the 13+1 capacity of the Glock 21 but it is a big sucker to carry around. The Glock 36 though is an awesome size, yet ...

Ye it does make sense, I'll be curious to check it out when it arrives, to see just how much of a pain it will be in the pocket as well. What drew me to the design was the concept of an extending handle so that you can carry a large folding blade without making a massive handle to cover it all. Will...

Ye the Native III is my favorite across the board for all my EDC's

The FRN handle shape is amazing, I love the jimping on the FRN upper and the top of the blade, the spyderedge as per usual is scary sharp and I've always loved VG-10.

Cheers n congrats

That is weird, specially for VG-10 (great steel). I had an issue many years back (in 2001 about) when I purchased a Gerber Mark II and a Gerber Guardian Backup. The Mark II was hair popping sharp but the Guardian Back up was pathetic. I sharpened that thing for weeks on end, it never got a decent ed...

So many Spyderco's, such a short memory :P

The one I just adore for carry would have to be the Native III, superb blade steel, that awesome blade profile and a handle I think cannot be beaten for comfort and feel.

Just a OMG knife over all, dont think it can be beaten.

Wow How long before the laws turn carry of anything into South Africa where its already virtually impossible to have a gun legally, but now they trying to ban pepper spray and stun guns. Makes one kind of scared of the future when these politicians with their SS bodyguards make laws that leave the i...

Very interesting design

Hi all I just stumbled across a very interesting design, it is a modification as such on the old Marbles Secure Lock. What I'm referring to is the Benchmade LFK (Large Folding Knife), I like the way of having a large blade in a small handle. They have a Zytel guard that is connected to the blade so ...

Kraton sheets or the like...?

Hi Curious for all those custom modders out there that alter their grips, where can I get my hands on something like textured kraton sheets? I've been scouting around the net but only seem to get to bike grips and so forth. What I'm wanting to do is get some form of textured grip to cut and bond to ...
