Well, after a year onboard of a cruise ship, I maybe have the right answer about knife onboard. Internation maritime law is basicly the UK law about knives. Under 3inch nonlocking blade. Several sources - put on the bulkhead noticeboard about rules in crew quarters - said 7cm long blade maximum. It ...

If no guns available, better have a fixed blade knife. But the Millie also far more than nothing. But if I would walking in woods like where you did, I would cut down some nice strong sticks and make some spike from that. Save your knife as a weapon to the last line of deffense. And the dart/stick w...

"The lock doesn't look very secure, it is barely grabbing the edge of the blade. Maybe someone here, or maybe your knifemaker could take a look at it and tell you if he thinks the lock provides a good holding force. (It seems like it would be very easy to make the lock engage more.)" At fi...

There’s more than one way to skin a Cat...

I've got my brand new Catbyrd, and I'm very satisfied with it. Really nice knife, but I wanted to "update" it a little bit. One of our finest knifemaker pimped it. The whole knife is bead blasted, removed all the letters from the blade, too. So now it's a totally steril knife. All of the e...

Good for you guys there, in the USA. I would be happy with a some Czech Vz.58 or Hungarian AMP-69 (best AK-47 variant in the world, said by Jane's Infantry Weapons, and they know it well) here in Hungary. Cheap dreaming of mine, knowing our politicians and lawmakers... :(

Great job!

Hey, Buddy! My thoughts exactly! Except that little thing, that I would give a plus Anso style "etching" on the G10. Great mod of yours, congrat! ;) (Good thought anyway to take pictures in front of green leaves, because my two favorite colors are orange and green. :cool :)

I wish for the ultimate Titanium Military! I heard/see pics it would look like the marriage of the Military and the CR Sebenza. I think it would be my 3rd ever lusting love among the :spyder: s, together with Police SS and Poliwog SS. Unfortunatelly I've read that sorry thing at a Hungarian knife po...

From my heart I perfer the SS's beauty, but on the other hand I prefer the G10's practics. Poliwog is Poliwog anyway, it is one of the most beautiful :spyder: s and it is useful and public friendly, at the same time. Who needs more? And you can customise, if you want to. Poliwog is screw together co...

From May to November in 2007 I used to carry the CS Pro Lite. It is sturdy big knife and I love it, but it's discontinued so I switched to the G10 Cara Cara. This is my EDC from that, rotating with my Police SS PE. When I feel that I will need something really big, I usually take my 5inch Vaquero. I...

While I appreciate that the Wegner Jnr has a different lock to the Pro-Grip is there really a vast difference in style between them? I'd pass on the Pro-Grip in favour of the Wegner any day myself although I consider them to be from a very similar style of knife. Well, yes. They don't ha...

If I want an a toy, a collection piece or a living knife icon I would prefer it with its box. But if I only want some knife for EDU (I would rather say Every Day Usage) I don't really care about the box. Two different stories of mine for the same situation -> collection piece/toys for boys. I bought...

Nice job! What kind of batteries and how many of them did you use? I think others used the 9volt battery for this process. You will like this threadto, I think.

Is the barrel bolt stainless steel or is it aluminium (or it's maybe titanium, too??)

Rubber problem, or I hope doesn't....

Guys, I have a question what maybe looks petty at first, but it’s important for me. I know that when the rubber getting old, its structure changes. It becomes greasy . That was the main problem with my old and beloved Ericsson R310s rugged mobile (the one with the “shark fin antenna”). I haven’t got...

I have found an old G-2 bladed Pro-Grip at one of Hungary's auction pages. It cost aroud 40$ to 45$ (depending on Dollar vs. Forint rate). Look at the pics, please. Do you think is it good for that price? It looks good, and the seller says that it's unused. I know that there is some kraton rubber un...
