When is the Southard hitting market? Has anyone discovered if the lock bar face is carbidized to prevent steel on titanium wear? It is not carbidized, it is however heat hardened at the lockface, Just like the Chris Reeves Sebenza, or the Spyderco Techno. An excellent way to prevent wear. I think y...

Another question for Sal: will this have the same lockbar insert as the Tuff and the Ti Military? It will not have the lockbar insert as the Tuff or Ti military. I'm looking into if it is carbidized or not. I can say the production prototype has been flipped thousands and thousands of times, by man...

The flipper was still the original proto from Brad Southard, same as last year. It still filipped sweet though :) That knife is soooo nice. And Sal confirmed that they're going to make it. :D No it wasnt ;) . It was a production prototype this year. It was still a Concept model last year and was st...

My version of it (without the Spyderhole) Is called the AWT. Which I named after one of my favorite authors. A.W. Tozer. I should also note. That photo floating around is one of my custom prototypes. Not a Spyderco prototype. I really should have never posted that photo, but alas, its far to late no...

I would love to see this happen, regardless of the flipper/no flipper arguments... as it seems to be the only way to get my hands on his work. Anyone have any news on the status of Brads order book? His site is still in disarray... Sorry about the site. Im still working on it. But think im just gon...

Don't most flipper equipped knives have an alternate opener for those times when discretion is more desirable than flamboyance? Not all do, but thats the method I prefer. I often find myself in crowds or places where the WHAP of a flipper would be a bad thing, or less desirable, and I really enjoy ...
