Re: Yet another way to choose and list your favorite Spyderco knives.

My solution: Pick up Rock Salt. Go to work on aliens. Save earth from alien apocalypse. Post NSFS (Not Safe For Squeamish) YouTube video of Rock Salt versus aliens. Become popular, world saving hero, and retire knee deep in mansions and Lamborghinis after starring in bad action and martial arts movi...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

On order and to be delivered soon: three stainless steel Enduras with my agency's seal engraved on the handle and individual names engraved on the blade by Spyderco (Christmas gifts); three Matriarchs with the Emerson opener (two for Christmas gifts, one, with black blade, for me); Endura FRN with E...

Re: Apologies to everyone!!!

No worries, Chuck. Everyone has an off day now and then. That thread sure unraveled quickly  .

Now, on to better topics and, somewhere in the deep recesses of the forum, perhaps the occasional flagellation of deceased equines.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Today, as is routine when I am wearing a suite and tie, an Emerson fixed blade karambit. I have a Schempp Tuff and Paramilitary 2 with me as well, along with a few other items.

Re: Spyderco ATR: WOW!

It is still one of Kristi's favorite knives. I have one, stainless, plain edge, that I carried a lot working down near the border. I haven't given it any pocket time in years. I think I will pull it out of the safe and carry it a bit. It might replace the Karahawk in the left front pocket for the ne...

Re: KaliGMan?

Well, you're probably still the only one who made a video on Self Defense with the Balance. :) Well, there is a lot of quick little silat stuff you can do with a Balance, if you know what you are doing :D . If you think that video was interesting, you ought to see some of the things I am doing with...

Re: KaliGMan?

Hi, Guys. Thanks, Doc, for getting Chad in contact with me. We had a nice phone conversation today. :D I have been busy and promoted a couple of times since my Ohio work. I was up in the Northern Virginia/DC area for a couple years and did have a chance to have dinner with Mike Janich and Kristi Hun...

Re: Carrying multiple Spydercos?

I am not going to say how many knives I often carry on my person. I will say, though, that bets have been made, won, and lost as to how many blades, what type, and where I was carrying them, and this has occurred whether I was in tactical gear, business casual, or business attire. :p

Re: Karambits: Your opinions?

I've seen what can happen with a proper Karambit, in training; with the right techniques employed. Scary-effective. Agreed, 100%. While I tend to agree with Michael Janich more than most of the experts out there, I have to disagree at least in part with his opinion on folding karambits primarily an...

Hello folks, been awhile. I think any Schempp design needs to be held and used, first. I lean more toward the S.D./tool side. I have the Kris folder. The more I hold work with it, the more I appreciate it. It is/was a hidden gem. It has this type of feeling of falling into your hand. It appears fro...

Of all my Militaries (and I have a few--including a couple CPMD2s), the only one I regularly carry is the CPMD2. If the knife is in good shape, grab it. I bought a foliage green CPMD2 Para for a gift for a Detective (in a department in West Texas) to thank him for his usual outstanding assistance in...

The coins have become nice gifts to friends nowadays (I know Ed Schempp has a few from various units I have been a part of, as does Kristi and her children). Before the massive proliferation of coins, they were often used to shut up poseurs claiming to be with elite military or law enforcement units...

That was probably me in the video. Really, without a lot of experience in some old Filipino and/o...

The Tuff is easily opened and closed with one hand, brand new from the box, without any wear in whatsoever, if you use proper technique. As it wears in a bit, it is a bit easier to open and close. For closing, do not use the thumbnail. For easy one handed closing, grasp the knife in your right hand ...
