As soon as my economy allows it, I will order an Spyderco Assist I Orange FRN , it will probably fill all my needs and some more ;) About the need or no need for a “survival kit” in urban areas. For example in my car I have a first aid kit, reflective safety vests, knife, flashlights, jumper cable, ...

I agree completely regarding that the knife needs to present to make any good use ;) But what I was thinking about was more of a knife for a planned trip, for example a train/bus/car journey, and not necessarily a knife for EDC. But due to knife laws and local restrictions is has to be a knife that ...

It should be a model that also is go...

I don’t have the Lava, yet anyway ;) But I love my little precious Poliwog, it’s really a big little knife. http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o190/Foto_e_kul/Poliwog_hand_2.jpg http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o190/Foto_e_kul/Poliwog_hand_1.jpg http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o190/Foto_e_kul/P...

So far I have two Byrds, Cara Cara G10 and Meadowlark G10, IMHO they are both great “user” knives. Sharp and robust and fits my hand very well. Maybe the tip of the Meadowlark is a little bit too delicate, but I not going to bend with it anyway. http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o190/Foto_e_kul/Car...
