I liked the cobra hood and at one point I was hoping it would become standard but I am guessing I am a minority on that.

I have never used a knife for SD purposes, however I have used a kubotan a couple of times and an expandable batons once. They kubotans were highly effective for there size and I carry one daily. The expandable baton worked like a champ but it is impractical to carry in civilian clothes. The ...

The Captain is a great knife with many utility possibilities. Its like have the hawkbill and a ladybug in the same knife, plus the tip strength is incedible. I would like to see one with a serrated curve.

I have a black PE ATR and that knife is incredible. My only gripe with it was the pocket clip, I think it was rough on clothes, so I replaced it with one from an Ontario RAT-1 folder. It lined up perfectly with the bottom 2 holes and is much easier on the clothing.

My wife works in the mall and on occasion will go have lunch with her. It is the largest concentration of wierdos in the state. Kids running around in leather pants with a dozen chains hanging off of them. Very strange creatures they are.

I like the Native but I have always wanted a little bit more blade length. This looks awesome and hopefully they keep it either S30V or VG-10. I would be ok with either grind but FFG is my favorite. Just please do not change the steels.

I have a 93mm rescue that has been to **** and back, I love this knife and after a trip to the sharpmaker its good as new. Last year I used it to tear the carpet out when we moved into a new house, and I still use it every day. Its a great knife and Spyderco makes the best serrations.

I think I must also be in that 2 % for 2 reasons.
1. I can tell the difference between 154cm and VG-10 and I much prefer VG-10, and I will not buy a knife made from 154cm. CPM 154 I might give a try but never again will I buy 154cm. I just do not like the edge 154cm takes.
2. I prefer S30V to both ...

I am very sad I have anticipated this knife more than any other except the FRN Stretch 2. I will not buy anything made out of 154cm, as I really do not like it. Hopefully they will make an FRN/ VG 10 version. I thought the S30V of the original was wonderful but I have never had a good experience ...

I completely agree with you, but I think Spyderco is the master at crossing and mating these categories. Take the Delica for example, small enough to take almost anywhere including the office, yet tough enough that if I were to go back to a combat zone I would not mind taking it. Spyderco are ...

Definitely either the Superhawk or the Stretch 2. Especially if you are going to treat yourself. These are the standouts of the Spyderco lineup.

I have a plain edge yellow pacific salt and I love it. The H1 is really mind blowing, because of the complete lack of maintenance. I sort of wish I had picked up the SE model, but H1 is no performance slouch in PE either.

My Superhawk was suggested to me by my wife because she loves her Merlin. I was skeptical at first but I have been amazed by how useful this blade shape is. The handle feels like it was made for me, and the lock is great. This knife is really a winner. I too am ready for the Spyderhawk.

For me its the UKPK, Superhawk CF, and the ATR. The UKPK because its my current EDC, the Superhawk CF because its awesome, and the ATR because I think its the ideal harduse folder.

I spent some time last night after reading this thread looking at urbans and I have decided I need both blade shapes. We are stuck in the house due to a blizzard right now and the UKPK is clipped in my pajama pants. It will be my main EDC until the FRN stretch 2 comes out.
