Re: Spyderco serration history
Very cool. When I want to carry a Native 5 LW, I usually go with the S110V in plain edge, but got a serrated for the LC200N model.

Re: Who would like a traditional slip-joint Spyderco?
I like Spyderco for my EDC knives where they make truly useful core designs with great steel & grinds. I also like their use of FRN and G-10 handles. They are a nice alternative to the elaborately styled knives with thick blades and titanium/carbon fiber handles just to look fancy. For slip join...

I agree. This is a great knife. This one is going to only see letter opener duty.

Re: Actual users
If I had to pick two, it would probably be the Para 3 in S110V & the DF2 in ZDP-189. I have plenty of Spyderco's and others that don't get carried, but these are the ones I use regularly: DF2 in ZDP-189 Chaparral FRN Native 5 LW in S110V & Maxamet Native 5 40th in Damasteel Para 3 in S110V &...

Re: Lil Native dilemma
If it wasn't for the internet, I never would have noticed the nub. I tend to open and close the blade with the hole. To close all of my compression lock knives, I release the lock and then use the hole to pivot the blade shut, the opposite of how I open it. I don't flick the blade open or closed, bu...

Re: Short Review of Pakkawood Dfly and a suggestion for future Dflys
I haven't noticed blade play in a the ZDP-189 Dragonfly and I like the small size, light weight, & blade thickness. For a more robust knife, the Lil' Native with compression lock is a good complement to the Dragonfly.

Re: One-Eyed Jack plus two
I think all of your choices are great. I'd pick either a Native 5 LW or a Para 3 over the Delica, but all are great. Some might go with a Chapparal in that role. These 4 models are among the most practical choices. I recently bought a Roadie and I like it. I usually carry either a SAK, an Ohta slipj...

Re: Para 3 Maxamet
Received mine from New Graham! I'd like to thank Sal for making this possible. I've really enjoyed my Maxamet Native 5 LW. It sounds like this steel has been very difficult to work with, but that knife is one of my favorites. I hope Spyderco is able to continue to offer this steel in a range of mode...

Re: Sal, what are the chances for another DS93X Thor blade spydie?
First of all to Sal, thanks for listening and taking the time to respond to this thread. I'd love to see the Lil' Native in Damasteel. The smaller blade size should help a little with the materials cost. I'd be in for any pattern, the Munin would work well on a smaller blade. Carbon fiber backlock l...

Re: No love for the Lil Native?
I carry the Lil' Native a lot when I want a nice knife design, but don't want to carry something bigger. The Dragonfly is cool because it's even lighter and feels more secure, so I still carry the ZDP-189/FRN model. Would like to see the Lil' Native get jimping in the choil and on the spine. I would...

Re: Any plans for a standard-sized Compression Lock Native?
I also like the Lil Native as a nice addition to the line for a high quality small knife. I think the Native design works well with the back lock. It is a nice complement to a Para 3. The Native offers a spring closure rather than decent closure which is nice if carrying the knife loose in a pocket ...

I wonder if this has to do with the thicker blade stock in the PM2 vs the Native and Manix.

Looking forward to this one. For the blade, would prefer ZDP-189 but Super Blue would be ok too. Keeping the knife elegant with micarta scales would be nice.

Hope they release the Lil Native in S110V & Maxamet. Thinking about skipping the S30V & waiting for those.
