Engraving knife Scagel (Executions of May 3, 1808)

I have finished this special project. It is an etching realized in a knife Scagel. The design inspired by the work of Goya () Realized to 7 levels, it has been a complex and difficult work, but I am satisfied of the result. Spanish knife (Victorian Etched)

I show a Spanish knife, the brothers R. Nuño. Engraved with my technique, Florid Victorian style (high relief and bas relief) In his hands this engraving is very elegant and safe that I must repeat this design on other knives. Did you have to engrave the blade before Jim heat-treated it?
no.

My technique allows me to etch the engravings with hardened steel and can do well, inlays of gold or other metals

Thanks friends for your words.
This type of knife is Spanish, is large and reminiscent of the knives carried by Spanish bandits in the past.
