Hi BRJ,
Although we have made numerous minor refinements to the model, the Military is ready for a major design overhaul.

I hate to presume to post my opinion here... but I'm going to. :D
I have a CPM440V Military. The one thing I really think any design overhaul needs (instead of wants, if ...

I just can't go small. I like the Manix and the Military... everything else seems puny. With a pocket holster, you can wear something as large as a BM Skirmish in thin dress pants without any sort of printing or other issue like that.

Burgundy/wine would be great. There's no other major factory knives that color, I believe. Pretty much every knife I have is black - now, I like black, but some subdued color would be very nice (I don't want an orange knife).

I have a Cuda Maxx and a Bm 710 in the original type of D2 - no rusting problems at all. Just wipe them off after use. I give them no special care, no surface coating or anything... I just don't leave them wet. Many years, no rust.

The Millie almost does it for me
Was on at BladeForums and I wanted to bring this here, to see if anyone agreed. I have a Millie in s60v, which was called CPM440v when the knife was made. It's a great knife, don't get me wrong, but I've always felt it could be so much better.
For me the Millie would be such a winner with only two ...

Chinook III is very good, actually designed for the purpose you are thinking about, and as far as I know, it's still an active product.
I have a Chinook and a Manix and I actually prefer the Manix (actually I like the Chinook handle and the Manix blade), but except for the sprint run they aren't ...

Hmmm.... lockbars.... maybe I'll try! Then again, I should know better than to mess too much with what already works. Now that I've reassembled the Manix, it really does feel a bit smoother, and I'm pretty happy with that result. Its not just a tension in the screw thing, because it came way too ...

I swapped Chinook III for Manix blade.
And it almost worked great! :D Unfortunately, there is no be no Chinix. Or, a Manook, for that matter. Since I love the Chinook handle and the Manix blade, I really wanted it to work.
Disassembly was straightforward, just a matter of backing out the screw, which does have a drop of loc-tite at its ...

Swapping Manix and Chinook III blades...
I know it probably wouldn't work. And I probably won't even try. But as I compare my Manix to my Chinook III, the appear exactly matched in size, screw location, everything about the blade/lock interface is a perfect duplicate.
Probably the handle on the Chinook would be a little short... or the ...

Manix just arrived in the mail.
C95 plain edge, the full size model.
I'm not going to review the design, I'm sure there's a hundred such reviews on the forum. I just want to post an appreciation of the high standards of quality control I see when I look at this knife. Fit and finish are perfect, from the g-10 to steel backspacer ...

I've got the Pro Hunter. Really excellent knife, in fit, finish, materials and design. In fact its one of those knives that could easily be the only knife you need. So if you get it, you'll have to spend some time dreaming up some new feature you think you have to have so you can keep getting new ...
