Kerambit use?
Hi to all, I wondered about the use of the Kerambit. As it obviously is a specialized knife, are there any specialized techniques in how it´s used? I could imagine straight punches/stabs or ripping cuts in either forward or reverse grip, edge out, or trappin/cutting maneuvers in reverse/edge in. Als...

Funny, just wanted to post a new topic on that. Got a new Dodo (blue) last week, and use it as EDC since. Played around with it today, and found it closing/disengaging with only slight pressure on the spine, repeatedly. I looked close and found some pocket lint (not much) coming in the way of the ba...

My EDC folders (I also often carry fixed blades) except for Spydies the last two years was a Large Decorated Sebenza (BG-42), and a tiny Victorinox model on my keyring, which is usually used becuase of its built-in pen (GREAT). I also like to carry the Camillus CUDA/Raplh Mad Maxx Bowie (size DOES m...

Oi, try to find a solid lock folder with full flat grind (which CUTS) in S-30V that has a handle with positive grip. If you think abot blade length, A practice CUTTING cause it works B think about flesh compression (on torso stabs, which will be effective only after some time usually). C try stabbin...

If he ain´t carin´ for a high carbon blade (probably differential temper), which would be perfect for chopping, get a CPM-3V (TOUGH) or CPM-420V. Good luck finding real good choppers in non-carbon that will withstand abuse. A possibility is a short machete (I like the UK Martindale ones for destruct...

Yes, seems to be the same type of clip, it´s an old clip on the old large Centofante. The clip is steel, three screws, non-blackened, no bug logo on the clip, the imprint is on the flat portion. The full text on the clip is: U.S. PATENT 4347665 FORIEGN PATS PEND Funny thing, eh? Any more input on th...

You can get lots of old NIB Spydies in Europe, some are even still in Stock with the distributors. Problem is that the prices sometimes are inflated, and not many dealers are online and/or willing to ship to US. Often thought about reimporting older knives with collector value to the US, but not wor...

Clip typos?
Hi all, mind if I chime in for a minute? Just bought a NIB older Large Centofante (#620), which I like very much. Nice flat grind (great cutter), ATS-34 and G10 are ok, liner lock is tight. But the clip has a funny typo: it says "forIEgn patents pending". Do any of you have such "fori...

Great knife. Good ergos (secure grip), great fully flatground blade with a fine edge (perfect slicer), very good slim plastic sheath, good retention, detachable mini tek-lok, perfect for iwb without tek-lok (just attach a loop), designed by a very interesting knifemaker, executed by a very good comp...

How did you crash yours? I´d get another Gilera in an instant. The 180 two-stroke rocks, you get all sorts of tune-up parts (from Italy mostly). On my wish list is a Malossi or Paioli fork (the original one is a bit soft). Some of the cup (racing) version Runners have around 30hp, 170 km/h top speed...

Yep, saw some writers once, tagging a subway wall. These were bad pieces. I also had the pleasure to meet and learn from one of the best writers in my area, a very nice guy. He did workshops for a youth project; we did it completely legal. That guy stopped writing illegally long time ago. Also saw s...
