Re: Combo Edges: Like or Hate?
I believe that CE blades have their place. If you have ever had to cut vines or roots, you will appreciate the serrated part and if you have ever had to do a bit of 'woodcraft' such as carving a spoon, you will appreciate the PE part.

An excellent story, RL! All I can say is that it looks like you don't have to take an IQ test to be in the TSA.

Re: Stretch Super Blue
Thanks for the review, Spydie, it was great! And, my thanks to all who answered. I just pulled the trigger on the Stretch Super Blue. I think that it will bump my ZDP Endura. :)GoldenSpydie wrote:Very nice knife. My review: http://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtop ... =2&t=64455" target="_blank

Stretch Super Blue
I have my finger on the trigger for a Stretch Super Blue, but I am looking for input as to the practicality of the knife for edc. I generally maintain an edge with a strop. Any input?

Welcome, Chimpchumper! It is not how many knives you have, it is how many you use.

Sal, Having wanted to ask this: is the Byrd 8Cr steel treated the same as Tenacious family's in term of hardness and wear resistance? Saw some guys in YT showing the Tenacious is more abrasive resistant than an Enlan. It showed that same steel treated to different standard really different. I am ju...

The GB is a class act, with it's polished liners and fantastic CPM-M4 blade. The GB truly is a fantastic knife. That said, my Military gets far more pocket time, as it is as home around the camp as it is in the kitchen. It carries like a small knife and the more you use it, the more it seems to 'shr...
