Re: Hi

Please forgive me guys don't have many pictures from the old days. Still have a few old school spydies left that I cherish. :)

Hiya Sal,

I was looking forward in seeing you at OKCA, but it seems like more than likely we will meet next year sometime.

Hi, Aj! Welcome back!
Do you still have all the Dodos? Because I think that might still work as a claim to fame! :D
Sorry to say almost everything went when I got into customs. Spyderco Ronin and the Spydercard are what got me hooked. :)

Hi

Just wanted to break the ice and say Hi. I know it's been a few years that's for sure.

I guess in the old days my claim to fame was having 21 Dodos LOL. :D

I stand corrected. Thank you for the history lesson :)

Re: Sal and Eric: How about a Spyderco twist on this?

It is a neat concept and the knifemaker that made it in initially was Randal Gilbreath. Gillbreath taught Kit Carson on how to build flippers and rest you can say is history. http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc136/carpediem1985/custom-knife-maker-Randall-Gilbreath-1466877761M_zpsacro34de.jpg Randa...

Need help in locating a spyderco

Hey guys hope all is well

Trying to help a good friend locate a terzuola slipit. I would very much appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction please. Seems as though they have become rare as of late.

+1 I think you can't complain in the US about prices. Spyderco knives in general are expensive over here in Europe! If I compare the Southard to my Sebenza or Hinderer, the Southard is a way better knife then both the Sebenza and the XM. If you compare it in price its cheap. A Sebenza is over $325 ...

As a guy that will call out when I see something that I think needs mention, I have to say that while the Southard is expensive, I don't think that it is poorly priced at all. Would I like it to be $200. Yes, double yes, hell yes. But, given the quality of the Taiwanese knives, the quality of the m...

Thanx much AJ, Astute observations and thanx also for the kind words. The Jot was the first Kinetic opener. It's an MBC style knife that is hidden in the design. James Keating taught a class using the Jot in his "Riddle of Steel". (Great teacher, great experience). He taught the use of th...

Hey guys hope all is well Imo this is one of the most iconic models Spyderco has ever released. Brad has been a spydie nut and a forumite here for a real long time. Many of the old timers have watched him progress from pimping Spyderco's to being one of the most sought after makers on the planet. Th...

Sal is very very good at what he does and Spyderco didn't become a leader in this field overnight guys. Spyderco is at full capacity at the moment with models that have been proven and tested in the field. There are quite a number of knives/models Spyderco can't make fast enough and I truly believe ...

I think that if they want to do the design and maker justice, a G10, VG-10, nearly $200 knife isn't the way to go. No offence to Sal and Co meant at all. I just think that the original design despite any flaws, was a much classier and more interesting knife. I give Sal a ton of respect for even mak...

Hey guys hope all is well I was speaking to Sal at blade and he said Spyderco would be doing this sprint mainly because they really wanted to do the design as well as the maker justice. These old schools spydies had quite a number of problems associated with them which couldn't really be fixed becau...
