Anything can be made out of any steel, but whether or not the value will be there becomes the question. S90V is difficult to work with. Smaller pieces are even more difficult to work with. You would have to pay a premium for the material, processing costs and a premium for the small size. In additi...

What about S90v then? Does Golden have the tooling for the ladybug?

Or an S90v Jester Sprint?

No hood, maybe a non-metal handle. I like the look and lock though.

We could be happy if it is the byrd steel :) after all, this is not much more than an advertising gift... how much did you pay? If possible, would you be so kind to take a pic from one of them next to a Ladybug? True - and as I said... It is a cute knife (which is why I got three). I'm not good at ...

Seems ot be an obvious choice, though....

Yes. I bought 3 yesterday from the Sfo. Blade doesn't say what kind of steel.

It's a cute knife, but does it mean we are about to see Byrd-like Spydercos?

Beautiful knife. I suggest you give it a couple days. If you decide you don't like it, maybe try getting a stone kopa.

Very exciting news. When is SHOT? Guessing the FRN version will be a 2010 model?

Looking forward to getting several different colors...

Have you tried the Byrd line yet?

Personally, I hope Spyderco keeps their line high end.

Say what you want, but the fact is the Captain's lock doesn't compare with other Spyderco liner locks.

Yup, love the knife...but Spyderco's shouldn't require two hands to operate. I've handled it a few different times, but the lock keeps me from buying it.

Has anyone customized one to fix it?

Will the handle of the FRN be about thhe same thickness? Will it come in a SE or combo?

I own both generations, and I can't wait for the FRN!

To be honest, I rarely carry my original because I can't pass over the Stretch II.

If you can find one, try the original Spyderco Stretch. The new version is more expensive (and worth it) than you might want. I own both versions and really like them... The Persian might be just the right knife for you. Perhaps you really should get two until you can decide? :p (Happy to help)
