Re: Three methods for closing Spyderco lockbacks one handed
I use method 1 except my thumb does not go to the hole, it goes to the spine of the blade. Since I don't have to find the hole I can close without looking at the knife. Generally only carry lockbacks now due to closing bias but I purchase and enjoy the other locks types as well.

Re: Back locks rule
Yes I have other locks and enjoy them but mainly carry a backlock, typically one of my Native 5s. Never have to consider it opening unexpectedly regardless of where it gets clipped. Floppy sweat pants, IWB, back pocket with blade spine facing out, never an issue.

Re: Great Customer Service Is Hard To Come By...
My love of Spydercos is pretty much the fault of Jeff and his company. Just a wee lad in the late 80's early 90's I would DROOL over his awesome color mini catalogs. Ordered my first of many Spydies from him, a fully serrated Endura in maybe 91 or 92.

Re: Choils on Spyderco Knives: Ups and Downs?
I don't generally like them but I love the improved backlock on the Native 5 series so I put up with them. For me I don't think the minor amount of increased tip control is worth the 1. hassle of the choil hanging up on stuff when using a hammer grip. Try cutting up a T shirt for cleaning patches wi...

Mine just arrived, it's awesome. Handle looks just like the picture and is a little more rounded on the edges than my black G10 Native.

I'd love one in XHP particularly if it had the same grind/finish as the s110 and s90 blades have had.

Make the Delica handle a little wider. There's enough room to do it and not badly block the hole.

Re: Stretch 2 is gonna be so cool and amazing!
I have multiples of the original and it's probably the one model that I edc'd the most over the years. I don't really like the lines of the new one but who knows after I get a chance to handle it.

Re: What is your favorite/most used lock type?
Midlock, particularly if the knife is going to be carried loose or IWB due to the great blade retention. Out of the others (liner, frame, axis, etc) I prefer the compression lock.

The end of that clip seems to stick up instead of flat. Does it dig your palm?

Re: If I were upgrading the Delica
For my use, I would like a bit more of a hand-filling handle on the Delica. That's what lead me to the Stretch, but I would prefer a Delica with the wider handle over the Stretch for my urban edc uses. If you look at the knife closed, there is still plenty of room to make the handle wider without m...

Re: Neighborhood Bug Dealer
I get the vast majority of my Spydies from The Classic Edge in Midlothian VA ~10 miles from me. Prices are close to if not match online and I get to handle what I'm purchasing in advance. Bob and Joe actually know about the models they sell, steel properties, etc. A real joy stopping by there.

Re: Do you hoard your Spydercos?
My favorite model and 95% edc is the VG-10 Stretch FRN which is now discontinued and I don't like the new model. So I bought two more and have Andrej's scales on them. Other than that I just buy one of the models I like.

Thanks for posting that. I always thought pig hair was burned off, do large processing plants also shave with a blade of some kind? BTW, now I'm hungry and have to defrost some lamb stew I've got in my freezer.

Just 2, a primary and a leatherman juice S2 or Pulse. Sometimes I'll put a ladybug on a keychain and then take it off a couple of months later when I realized I never used it.
