Personally, I have never seen another officer use a Spydero police. (with the exception of myself for a brief period!) Its quite a large folder for most hands and expensive if you lost it which does happen a lot. Also its a bit flashy (literally speaking with the stainless handles) and heavier. Most ...

My edc is an endura wave.
There are other knives, like the paramil that I prefer, but I just cant get away from the quick, positive deployment with the wave...
I'm thinking of wave modding some of my other spydies e.g. police and paramil.
Wish Sal would put out a full serrated, waved endura, but ...

I'd have to agree with much of whats been said with respect to childhood development...
The instructor is a huge part of the process: teaching movement, physical coordination and basic social interaction in a positive way will keep the kids interested and willing to learn.
But hey, sometimes its ...

BigKahunaSix is good people!

Hi all,

FYI, I also posted this on BF in the G,B&U section...

Just have to give a big thumbs up to Jim aka BigKahunaSix.

A few months ago I purchased a used, black G-10 SE Police from Jim - a knife I had been looking to pick up for a long time.

When I received it from Jim, I realized that the ...

D2 millie

Great news Sal!
Cant believe how :spyder: continually releases updates and variations of their products.. on top of coming out with new ones.
I too prefer the paramil but will have to get a D2 Millitary once it comes out. Fantastic G-10 colour choice as well...
Keep up the good work!

I've been holding out for the ZDP Chinese Lum, but the two things about the P'Kal that stand out for me are: 1.caged ball-bearing lock and 2. SouthNarc's participation. (Will probably have to learn a few basic pikal techniques before carrying it on a regular basis)... Also, its unique design is a ...

Jim,

My words to you: you did a great thing- dont feel down!

I think your actions in that situation showed the best qualities of the human spirit.

Not only did you take action to try and save the mans life, but more importantly, you did it despite having no connection to him... there is no ...

Thanks STR- very informative!

Read Sals comment in the bombshell thread (if I remember correctly) about :spyder: coming up with a new lock design. That one, plus Erics work on the caged ball-lock will make for some interesting knives... personally, I cant wait for the P'Kal.

I have a serrated BRG Delica and its held its factory edge (from 4-5 months ago) really well.
Cardboard, plastic clampacks, paper, nylon, & plastic have all been divided and conquered by the spydie teeth.
Compared to the other serrated VG-10 spydies I have, ZDP does hold its edge longer IMO...

Nice pics and comments, incredible...

I too, recently got a D'Allara and found it to have the most solid, lock-up of all my Spydercos hands down.

I'd agree with the 3D handle comments: it feels very secure in hand and thats worth the extra width when folded for me. I've always preferred g-10 over ...

Thats a pretty freakin nice collection....

ZDP is good stuff. But your current collection can do a similar job when it comes to heavy cutting IMO. To me, ZDP's a "nice to have" but not a "need to have" kind-of-thing...

I've got the ZDP SE D4 and like it alot: aggressive cutter with razor ...

D'Allara & Grip comparison

Eastr,

The ball-lock is solid .
No vertical blade play and a smidgen of horizontal blade play (only because I like the pivot screw fairly loose for that snap opening).

One handed closing is 60/40: works 60% of the time and the rest I have to re-grip. The ball-bearing is slick and I have to grip ...
