Re: Original Paramilitary takedown (pics)

Yes. Dremel with a 1/4” diamond drum as shown below (side of detente recess closest to pivot.) DISCLAIMER - if not careful you will ruin the knife. NOTE - Original had no jumping on the finger choil. NOTE 2 - I even “enlarged” and tweaked the tang that falls into the recess. That was a little scarie...

Original Paramilitary takedown (pics)

The original Paramilitary is still one of my favourites. It was tight, let me toy with the detente, all all ‘round tinker. I still use it and beat it up. I took it apart today to clean and lube, so I thought I’d post the exploded view. I love this style of detente. Note the hammer marks, Dremel mark...

Re: Suggestion: everyone should design a knife

I designed a thick, dual pointed, push and pull cut monster. Sent the plan to a local knife maker (Craig Wheatley) and he delivered. The Reiði:

Re: S30V Only Cool if it's a Benchmade?

It’s marketing. Read survival stories, hard use stories, talk to your grandparents... you won’t hear a steel complaint in the narrative. Sure super steels are “cool” but in the end, a knife is a knife. If you were about to fall out of a plane or something, and had access to every version of knife X,...

Aesthetically to me no difference. Snagging a non issue. Sharpening much easier. Keep in mind I am not a polishe...

Hard work and the holidays (Spydersaw content)

As you “trim” your tree before you trim your tree, make sure you use the right tools. Happy Holidays.

90B73D37-09EE-4CB0-8B87-CE988C4622EB.jpegHere’s a small one I designed and had CKE (Craig Wheatley) make up for me. Great little all ‘round blade. I’d be in for a Spyder of some description. That's pretty much similar to the SWICK model we've been discussing. If we do have a SWICK sized Hawkbill I ...
