The Military is one of the best knives on the market hands down IMO and my favorite Spyderco. :spyder: I totally agree with you. I collect and use also other brands as the one with the butterfly. But still the millie is one of my favorite users and EDC's. Great ergonomics and lots of blade steel to...

I think the only problem with a lot of knives (I've heard many requests for a H1 Millie) is the liners. If you notice, no H1 knives have liners. I suppose the liners would have to be made from H1 as opposed to a high chrome steel and this is probably prohibitively expensive. One can only dream. Yes...

For the Millie experts,

Was there ever a millie with ATS-55?

And do all millies have the excenter pivot?

Thanks for your help.

I'm new here but have been buying Spydercos since I discovered them at Eddie Bauer back in 1990. I have quite a knife collection, but the Military is one of my all-time favorites. I spoke with John at Spyderco customer service a few days back and asked when (not 'if') the Military would be offered ...

Thanks for your input guys!
I thought my idea was pretty much good, separate from production technique.

Military with H-1 blade and yellow G10 or a Military Ti frame lock with yellow G10 and the H-1 blade (what ever grind).

I don't see difficulties, I see a challenge. :D ;)
Am I right Spyderco?

Titanium handles would solve the liner problem. Now that is a configuration I would like to see too. H-1 blade, Ti frame lock with yellow G10. I think all the issues for not producing can be solved. It's more a question if Spyderco thinks if this knife needed, if it will work in the field and what ...

Military pedigree, Millie specialist needed.

Don't know if this has been done before yet, but I couldn't find it with a quick search. Any way, Could some one draw up a genealogy/pedigree of the Military family? Any Millie specialist around here? In blade steels first released, and at which years etc. Differences like liners, handle materials a...

Just received my Stretch II...WOW--this thing is thinner than I expected! Thin handle, thin blade! What a slicer, really easy to carry. Yep, same here. Just received mine. Great little knife ;) Super finish and yes I also expected it to be a little thicker, but than again it is a slicing machine. W...

My box says ID and, like yours, mine lacks the external screw. My guess would be that the version Wouter has is the earlier of the two. But unless and until he, or someone else with one like that chimes in with a "birth date", that's just speculation. Can't help beyond that, still trying ...
