The Ladybug Salt SE. That's right. The highest performance-to-weight ratio you can get is this little fella right here: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51119097250_c5da4c7f32_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51119096840_3c00e4e780_k.jpg That is 0.6oz of pocket chainsaw right there. Re: Do we do people disservice?

To answer your question, search pocket knife on Amazon. Next pick the least practical looking knives and go to the reviews. Note how many people say it holds a great edge. These are 3Cr13/420J2 knives that probably have garbage heat treat, but a lot of people find them great and claim they hold a gr...

Marks on the blade are just reflections from some trees. There was no attempt to keep this blade dry - it has been stored in a cardboard sleeve for 57+ years. I wish I looked that good at 57!

Re: Lubricating knives with no liners and/or no washers

I use very little lube on my linerless FRN knives. Once they are broken in I don't think they need much.

Re: Forcing a patina on a Rex45 Chief

Curious why people don't protect their pivots? Really easy to do and you won't have to worry as much about corrosion degrading your pivot action. When I clean the knife I polish the pivot with compound and a dremel (then a light coat of oil on the pivot). I also use a scrub brush under the facet to...

I've used a thin coat of mustard and a little heat to speed up the reaction on a couple knives.

The jester handle became the ladybug 3 handle and disappeared at that time. Way before the Manbug existed.

Re: New Knifejoy exclusive PM3: lots of qc issues including an asymmetrical blade.

My advice is if you have any expectation of "perfection" from a $130 production folder, prepare for disappointment. If you have very high expectations, ask your dealer to inspect before you buy. If you get a knife and feel unhappy, return it for another, don't alter it and then decide you are unhapp...

Re: Special Ladybug Idea

I love this idea!!! I wouldn't be interested in paying 25% extra for LC200N, but I would definitely buy one in most other steel options. I'd prefer VG-10 as it is plenty corrosion resistant for my needs. Had one in VG-10 on my keys well over a decade with no corrosion problems, so I'd prefer not to ...
