Re: Clipless
I also carry a Delica sans clip. Its the perfect size for pocket carry, yet still large enough to handle anything I need at work!

Re: When to go clipless
I go clipless at work now as they have a "no knives but the safety knives we give you" policy. I carry a Salt 1 clipless in my right front pocket. It's so slim and light that I forget it's there most of the time!

Re: Salt 1 being discontinued?!?
Wow, thanks for noticing that guys! I didn't even see that it was the black ones being discontinued! I just saw Salt 1 and that's where my eyes stopped!
Not really wild about the yellow, since I have to wear black pants at work, but I can always dye it!

Salt 1 being discontinued?!?
I just read the 2014 discontinued list and I'm saddened to see the original Salt 1 is on the list.
This has been my go to knife for years. Between the H1 steel, the lightweight, the barrel-screw (I love being able to move the clip with nothing more than two nickels!!) and the titanium clip, this ...

Revival, sorry for taking so long to reply.....but what he is talking about is opening the knife and laying the back of the blade (the spine) against a piece of wood. Then, lifting the handle, which will push the spine into the wood and put some torque on the pivot. Keep the pressure on the spine ...

Over at Bladeforums, a few months back, Surfingringo was having the same issue with his Dragonfly 2 Salt. Here is the advice that Squashfan gave him that seemed to work for him:

Watching the space jump
Watching Discovery Channel, Felix Baumgartner breaking the record for the highest jump ever. As they were going through the pre-jump checklist, one of the items was for Felix to check to ensure that his "cut-away knife handle was accessible and secured"

Oh yeah, my wife made out like a bandit too! She picked up a carbon-fibre ceramic bladed folder at the Stone River Gear booth, a new tactical pen at the CRKT booth, a new kitchen knife at the Kershaw booth, and some beads that she's going to make into earrings! So, yeah, SteelyDan, I hear you! We ...
