Re: The Tip of a Spear: Deterrent Value of a Self Defense Knife

The comments section are many times my favorite part of the article.. one guys comment-

"I carry a gun that shoots knives, a knife that shoots guns, and a gun that shoots smaller guns that then shoot knives and guns to confuse my assailant."

Lol!

C46 Hap40 Lum Sprint run touch up and spa.. at Golden?

Old forum member and 30 year customer/lifetime Spyderco nut here... I have a C46 Lum Tanto Sprint in 420/Hap40. It needs.. stuff. And I'm man enough to say I might need help instead of DIY. I don't know how you void a warranty on an irreplaceable knife but I like the idea of this being done by someo...

What's the point of fake knife that cannot do ANYTHING compared to the Salt that can do EVERYTHING?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Picked up a super freek recently. Really nice knife. The cerakote sucks. Chipping at the spine from keys in my pocket, streaks across the blade from opening a box or two. Spyderco DLC is by far the best coating I've seen and compares to high end DLC I've seen used in the Swiss luxury watch arena. ht...

Sportsman's guide! Holy moly that's a blast from the past. Wasnt Spyderco products being sold via those magazines 25+ years ago?

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes

Been a long time since I've posted, but I spend about an hour a day reporting sellers offering knock-offs as the real thing. I'm sick of seeing people fall for it and pay real Spyderco prices. They have no idea that they've been duped, and Ebay never does anything about the sellers that I report. I...

Well be outside of Tampa in lithia so jot super close to the ocean luckily. I figured for thr days we do go to the beach I'll take my bugout since that became my beater. As for the pm2 I'd probably take my sv35n. I would take my dlt sprint but let's be honest I might be dumb but not stupid. Hey, I'...

The sharpest, strongest, most durable knife on the planet

That is a pretty tall claim. I especially like the "nano serrations" which appears to be a macro picture of the edge grind. Also check out the metal alloy matrix edge bonded to a high quality steel blank of 2cr14N. Isn't 2cr14 akin to the steel used on knives like those found packed in those holiday...

$300 Taiwan Spyderco?

Couldn't help but notice this Spyderco Subvert showing a MSRP of $470, with BladeHQ price of over $300. For a Taiwan made G10 scaled S30V liner lock?

Am I missing something here? Seems... Pricey.

Re: Sprint Runs and the Abysmal Aftermarket.

I find it tedious to lose a particular design as a user, because the value makes it Ludacris to continue to use. The best, most saught after sprints should have a color variation or something done then made in regular production so they can be used not locked away. The Lum tanto is a good example. W...

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?

Been on the forums for a long time, and Spyderco has been a daily part of my life for 30 years now. I had the 1st Lum and carried it every single day for a decade. The value on my original plain edge black handle Lum got so high, I eventually retired it and sold it. Sal has always said the original ...

Re: Lum Tanto sprint handle material change

If that is the case, theres only 600 paperstone Lum sprint units in existence. Potentially this could become a very rare and sought after piece.

Lum Tanto sprint handle material change

I was interested in learning how many units were made of the Lum fixed blade sprint in total per handle material. I believe it was supposed to be 600 knife run total, however, the G10 version details state only 600 will be made. What we know is Spyderco started the sprint run with paperstone, then s...
