Re: Enuff 2 SALT?

Thanks as always, Sal, for the quick response and info. I've been looking at the Enuff 2 SE in VG10 (as opposed to K390) because of better corrosion resistance. I live close to the Pacific coast and everything metal around here corrodes so I'm a big fan of the Salt Series. I've been wanting an all-a...

Enuff 2 SALT?

Is there going to be an Enuff 2 SE Salt? I have an Enuff 1 SE Salt but the Enuff 2 specs have more appeal. And I know the standard Enuff 2 VG 10 has decent corrosion resistance, but I would prefer H1 or LC200N for my coastal environment.

Anyone have production intel?

Re: What do you want in a new Salt knife?

Toxic green SE Dragonfly and Manbug Salts. It's too much for my old heart to hope for an updated Jester Salt SE.

Re: LC200N Dragonfly

The neon green LC200N Dragonfly Salt SE is the one I've been waiting for, too. And I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in any of the Blade Show 2021 YouTube videos I saw. I know it's coming, hopefully soon. When it does arrive, if there's a blackout blade version (Iike the little USN Ladybug hawkbill)...

Re: Dating Myself...

I dunno, Crux. I'm not bad looking, like sports, and laugh at all my jokes. So overall I think I'm a pretty great date. But seriously, thanks to all (and Sal!) for your replies and info. Those solid Almite PEs are rare; slotted versions seem much easier to find, probably because they're more recent.

Dating Myself...

I have a question for those of you who've been collecting Spydercos for a while. Was there ever a plain edge Navigator with a SOLID blue Almite handle? I've seen them with slotted blue Almite handles, and I have one with an SE blade and solid blue handle. And I believe a plain edge Experimental Navi...

Re: Have you gotten your dream blade of 2018?

I got a blue M390 Para 3 that I like a lot. And, continuing the blue theme (though not the dream theme), I added a blue FRN Robin 2 into the daily rotation. I also got one of the two I had been waiting for--the Brouwer. With a clip switch it's pretty great. The other one, the one I've really been wa...

Re: Dragonfly 3?

Hey steelcity16, I'll give you the Dragonfly Salt with blacked-out H1 blade if you'll give me the toxic green FRN handle. It would be like a Dragonfly 2 version of the USN Ladybug Salt Hawkbill...

Sorry if I mis-read the title. I guess I saw the title and thought Para 3. Thanks for correcting.

Dragonfly 3?

It's hard to mess with a classic and I'm a big believer in "If it ain't broke don't fix it." That said, I've been thinking about what I'd do to the Dragonfly 2 to make it even better. I've been EDC-ing a Super Blue Dfly 2 for a long time for non "dress" occasions, and a SE FRN ve...

Re: PM3–what would it be?

I think the PM 3 is pretty darn great as-is, especially for those of us who can't carry a PM 2 due to length limit restrictions. That said, I agree that the lanyard hole could be dispensed with and a shorter deep carry clip added (wire, or otherwise), And I know I may be in the minority here, but I'...

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

Thanks, RonT2, for sending this info that I missed! Of course, I'd prefer the 3" version of the Phillips to have the same lock as the original, but with design like this, I can work with a slippie. What can I say: Spyderco is the best.

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

I'd like to echo MichaelScott's post. I, too, was totally ready to immediately buy a Phillips Redback until I got to the specs in Mr. Blonde's much anticipated Amsterdam Show post. I live in CA (Los Angeles) where the folder carry limit is 3". How disappointed am I? This Phillips has everything...

UKPK S110V Drop Point?

I've been eyeing the navy UKPK with S110V blade, But before picking one up I wanted to ask if anyone knows if Spyderco has any plans to bring out a drop point version in that steel. I much prefer that blade shape, which was offered on past UKPKs, and would wait for it if it's ever going to be produc...

Re: How about a Leafstorm sprint?

+1 to Paladin's comments above. I've always wanted a Leafstorm--love the looks, the specs, the handle material, etc. But I never got one because I have a Techno that I really like and because every time I looked at the point on the heel of the Leafstorm blade right next to the handle I could see it ...

Re: New Salt Handles

While the retooling is in process, Sal, please consider adding a toxic green option to the mainstream Salt handle choices, especially for the Dragonfly Salt. I'd love an alternative to the yellow, and toxic green is in the same hi-visibility color palette.

Re: Super Blue??

I've been EDC-ing a Super Blue Dragonfly for a while now. It's a great version of the Dfly but there are definite drawbacks. I live near the ocean and the tarnish and now a tiny bit of pitting are obvious. I've used Flitz but at least one pit on top of the blade spine looks like it's here to stay. T...

Re: Byrd Morph to Spyderco?

The Finch 2 is about the same size as a Ladybug or a Jester (my all-time favorite small Spyderco). The choil makes it different and is what attracted me to it. The Byrd Starling 2 looks to be almost identical to a Ladybug.
