Re: Rare C65 Lum Chinese Folder Variant

Very nice. Think I have an OD one somewhere that I haven't gotten around to using :D

The PAC Salt and Endura need the same handle shape as the Military. There would be no more complaints about the points and it would be stable under hard use.

What do y’all think?
A LC200N Military would be better imho. Orange or red handle and I'd grab one for sailing to replace my Pac Salts :D

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco

I’m guessing it will be a good while before we see a Spyderco straight razor. In the meantime, I’m going to get one and start practicing, but unsure of what all to look for. I don’t want junk of course. Straight edge and round nose is a good info, but what about size (4/8,5/8,6/8,etc). Blade steel?...

Any of the suggestions is an all new knife with; prototypes, tooling, testing, etc.

I'm patient Sal and I trust in Alistar's skill to pull off a nice Walker liner lock version ;)

Re: Opinions Wanted: Top 5 Best Spydercos

Large: CF Military
Small: C22 CF Walker
The rest:
Pacific Salt since it survives sailing and diving in the ocean
Kapara, very useful and gorgeous (with a liner lock it would have been perfect)
Can't decide on the last one (Chef, Bowie, CF Stretch and Techno maybe)

Don't think it sold too well and it might need some tweaks to make it great; moving/changing the clip and the beard of the blade is a bit prone to biting. Never used mine since I prefer the C22.

Re: Spydiechef vs Kapara

I have both. I prefer the Spydiechef in the kitchen. For me, the geometry works better at food tasks. Also, if things get a little damp, I find it easier to maintain a reassuring grip due to its width. I prefer the Kapara for EDC. It’s chased lots of other knives from my rotation. Both are amazing ...

Re: A plea to Sal and Alistair

I am quite sure it would be a popular one : a 3,25 blade lenght liner lock Kapara. It's a well loved spydie for obvious reasons but slightly longer than it needs to be in an edc role and people complain about the limited access to the comp lock tab( and they're right) . I am aware that they are wor...

Kapara just arrived so I'm done :D It's gorgeous

C22 Michael Walker would be awesome for 2020 (I have a few, but it's an almost perfect small EDC)

Re: Most difficult Millie to find??

After I posted a picture of my Forum Military on instagram a while back, I noticed I got a -lot- of DMs asking if it was for sale (it's not). Judging from that experience, it seems to be a sought-after variation. It's the one I kick myself for not getting. Got the others I need and all of mine are ...

LionSpy. Cool knife and built like a tank, but I don't really need a tank so I usually grab a military instead ;)

Re: Smallest spyderco you are comfortable with?

For indoor days in the office I carry a CF C22 Michael Walker or a Techno and that's fine. For normal use I prefer something bigger (Bowie, Caly 3.5, Military etc)

All 6 versions.
Only one was FFG correct?
MBS-26 and CE afaik. Wish they had done full PE too, but happy with my CE one.

Re: Would anyone else have interest in a Spyderco fillet knife?

A remake of the MBS-26 Catcherman in LC200-N would be great. Thin, flexible and rust resistant. I'd prefer PE, but a bit of serrations like the MBS-26 CE one is fine too. I wouldn't want SE (and I've tried it)

Re: Hiking knife

I'm surprised you, OP and others are writing off the Street Bowie without trying it for this use. Maybe he just wants to buy another knife he doesn't need. You got me :) I'm hunting a Temperance first gen on the secondary market right now. Too bad you aren't in Norway. 1. gens Temps are nice :)
