I have a Large Calypso that I had similar problems with. The first time I sharpened it (with the sharpmaker), there were several small chips along the edge which took quite some time to remove. I also have a Delica (my last purchase) and recently, it too has been a pain to put an edge on. After gett...

I guess it would depend on 'when' the sh*t hit the fan. -if during any normal waking hour, it would the knife in my right front pocket. - if it was during the sleeping hours alerted, a Cold Steel Tanto it the closest and fastest to grab. in summary, anyone of my knives would feel any of the requirem...

There appear to be quite a few of us that carry at least a second "edged tool", and a lot that carry multiples. There were a couple of earlier topics that discuss what the other toys are, and even the qty usually carried by a lot of us.. You will find then most entertaining to read. I beli...

I'd have to agree with dialex.
I have a PE Jr in SS, and a SE Jr in Micarta. They are both great knives to carry and use. They were hard enough to find before, now the odds of finding mates for them is slim to none, so I'll have to treasure these even more than I had planned.

I have the Calypso Jr in both Micarta and Stainless. While both are excellent, I prefer the Stainless version. While I usually prefer a larger blade, it is hard to beat this Stainless Calypso PE version for a smaller package.

I've carried a 50-50 version in my wallet for the past couple of years....... don't even know its there. I've had no problem with oxidization or weight. I've only to use it a couple of times, and it's nice to know it's there when needed.

Thats the price we pay when the American dollar is higher than our own, not too mention to mention the shipping.

Although, to date, I have never been disappointed by the performance of the knives that I've received from Spyderco.
