The Sharpmaker is probably by far the best possible choice. The fact that you cannot press as hard is actually an advantage, I think one always tries too hard at the beginning, applying more pressure than needed. Do not hesitate to watch the DVD several times, because you will understand very easily...

Busse collectors are as bad as we are. Quite true. And the good thing is they USE their knives just like we do. Which is great because Jerry and Sal are working really hard to provide us with TOOLS rather than works of art (didn't say some weren't as well, though :D ) A small GB axe is a fantastic a...

kbuzbee, As a knife fan I think a Busse are wonderful blades, immensely tough, great steel... In a survival situation I would be delighted to have one with me. Or one of the Hossums for that matter. But I would rather have 2 or 3 Ka-Bars and some extra equipment for the price. A knife can be dropped...

As CWO said. Strong cheap FB like a CS Bushman (or Ka Bar), and SAK with saw blade.
With all the qualities and cutting abilities of my spidies, I can't see any of them living up to those 2 in the scenario described. But that's only my opinion.

It is a poor indication of our society and our education system (and that includes the media) when a 23 yo is freaked out by a SAK in a calm professional environment and when a knife is needed to do a job :(

Why would the army or military in general have tighter restrictions on knives than civilians do. doest make to much sense, Police and firemen are allowed to carry pretty much anything they want including auto's. In the Army you do not ask "Why?". There are rules and you follow them! One m...

Get both. You know you want to :D
Once you have them both in front of you, decide on one. Keep the other as a safe queen and in a year's time it may pay for your user as well.

Blue Delica

Hi there
Just saw an ad on another forum for a blue ZDP D4.
I thought that
1) Blue delicas were an old story, with ATS 55 and certainly not D4
2) ZDP D4 were BRG.
Can someone here complete my education?
