I had a Native III and it just didn't settle in my hand the way that the Blackhawk does. This is not to say that the Native is a bad knife, quite the contrary, it is an excellent knife. My feeling about the Blackhawk series is that it is a design in and of itself that is, to me, high end in concept ...

c24 blackhawk

I just recieved one in a trade (Thanks Rick!) and it is a wonderfully made knife. It is a Colden Colo. P/E with g-10 scales, Gin-1 steel. I've read some of the posts about this knife and can agree that it is one that should be brought back into,at least, limited production. I let a few of my knife ...

I have an older g-10 Blackhawk coming in a trade. It will be my first g-10 handled Spydie. That will be my "Sunday go to prayer meetin" knife and will be babied. I plan to carry the Cara Cara for work. I also have a serrated work knife that is lite and small for when a plain edge will not do. :)

peacefuljeffery, very well said! Knives are to be handled with no less attention to detail as one would handle a firearm. That is why I traded off the Karambit as it was too specialized a knife for normal carry. Knives are tools just as wrenches and sockets. You wouldn't want to hit yourself in the ...

Nicked myself with a Karambit first time out of the box. I realized right away that I did not pack the gear to handle that type of blade and returned it to the box. I did carry it to work one night to show a friend and that's all I had the nerve to carry that beast. Also underestimated the sharpness ...

Cara cara arrives

Well, the ups truck dropped off my knife yesterday evening and I am impressed with the knife overall. I had a chance to use it at work last night and after working on the edge a little bit, it has turned into a very good performing knife. It's a plain edge and is in the black. It's got an Endura ...

First of all I want to thank you all for the great information and now feel real good about buying the knife. It's good to know that Spyderco delivers quality in their knife line and have collaborated overseas to deliver good value in the Byrd line. Thanks so much for the info and I also want to say ...

byrd cara cara

Well, I took the plunge and ordered a Byrd Cara Cara in black PE. I would like to hear from others who own this Knife if they feel like they made a good buy or not. Now, I have owned and own several Spydies and feel that they are the best knives made, period. I want to use the Byrd for a work knife ...

I work in shipbuilding and had occasion to be carrying my SE Endura one night on the back shift . I was on lunch break sitting at a table with some of my mates and was in the process of opening a back of chips that had that aluminum like finish that is sometime a cuss to open. No problem, I just ...
