I am also a civilian, and carry only one at time(plus a Spydercard in the agenda)at it mostly depends from the cloth I wear: in T's and jeans I prefer my SS Native in the front right pocket, when with suit the same knife in the waistband, or, as recently, a Cricket on the back of my tie.

Not only cuts everything smoothly, but is one of the few Spydercos in "good size and weight" that you can have with your suite. My preferred combination: thick silver grey silk tie, Rolex Explorer and my SS Native.
Class is not fresh water..

I am also a Native fun, and I own more models of this(serrated, BF,Shell inlay,SS)but the one I have alvays in my pocket is a GIN 1 plain. Now, the sad reason why I prefer to buy plain edges: because I don't know sharpening, and expecially because here in Italy very few sharpeners know how to treat ...

..Oh yes: we buy Spydies because of the rapid blade deploiment thanks to the thumb hole, because they have a very usefull clip, because the choiche of steels is very professional...

But, as far as I am cencerned, it's also a matter of design: the first time that I had in my hand my SS plain Endura ...

The real matter now is that a small blade makes damages like a big one, but if you have the big one, for Police, you are the bad guy! Even if it's only to defend yourself!
Let's take example from Tao: let's live the big blades at home, or for hunting, and let ...
