With regard to thin v. thick blades, I have to disagree with that. There are many jobs that a thick blade cannot perform at all, or not as well as a thin blade. Of course, the converse is also true. Bottom line, you need the right tool for the job. If you job is splitting firewood, better use a hea...

You can't REALLY compare Zero Tolerance to Spyderco folders, as ALL of the ZT folders are designed for HARD use. A more fair comparison would be Kershaw to Spyderco. I carry a ZT 0200 as one of my 2 EDC's (the other is a Kershaw Mini-Cyclone), and that ZT knife gives me the impression that I could p...

I just read what was going on over there (via a friend) and I have to say that I'm very proud of what Chad and Alex said in regards to all the "madness". You guys are both a class act. Personally I think quite a few folks "over there" were behaving like big babies. Cheers. ;) I'...

As long as it doesn't say "Made in Pakistan" on the blade, I'm generally ok with it.

I've carried mine for at least the past 3 years...Maybe longer. I carry mine in the back pocket of my Levi 550's, where it fits perfectly. I DID have a problem with one of the zippers binding (the one where I hide my "mad money" from my wife), but Spec-Ops replaced the wallet pronto, with ...

Although I don't have one, I'd think that the Chinook II would be GREAT as an MBC folder as it's solid, has a great blade-style, and is ambidextrious. Of a knife that I DO have, the Benchmade 805 TSEK is MY favorite "defensive/offensive" folder, as I like its' blade-style, and the large ha...

For me, it's Benchmade, as they seem to make more "lefty-friendly" knives. Also, I really like the fact that they use dual stainless liners on most (if not all) of their G-10 folders. And then there is the Axis-lock, which is totally ambidextrious, not to mention (but I will) the switchabl...

How about getting little Evan a Salt 1?...That way, if he has it clipped to his diaper and he pees himself (drenching his diaper), the knife won't rust. Dann Fassnacht Aberdeen, WA glockman99@hotmail.com ICQ: 53675663

Since I'm looking at trading for a Salt 1, I thought I'd bring this post back up to see if maybe I can get some comments from any of you who might have a Salt 1. Is it a good knife? IS this H-1 blade-steel any good?
