Long time since I last posted. Got my seconds haul today. Manix LW Maxamet and a 2 knife mystery box. My mystery box contained a Z-Cut pointed kitchen knife and a Para 3 Marbled Carbon Fiber Elmax exclusive.

Unless you are cleaning it with a Dremel or a belt sander, you don't have anything to worry about. Scrubbing it in the sink with a toothbrush will get the job done and leave it looking new for years.

Let us know how you like it. I've already got a PM1 and have been wondering if there is enough difference to justify buying a new knife.

I just sold off a large part of my Spydie collection, but I will be sorely tempted by a new C44. Especially at a G-10, VG-10 price point!

I believe there is a sprint in the works. Not sure on color/steel combo.

Lean times this Christmas. Wifey is getting me an A.G. Russell Orca because it is cool and affordable. Maybe a Spydie next year!

Great info Phrenik. It is the world that we live in today. YOu can't search or buy anything
that doesn't get stored for future use. I have searched items and then later, had a pop up
from Amazon with "specials" about the same product. It makes you feel kind of funny.

Like some of the other fellas have said, if you don't use it, you'll end up getting rid of it.

I have since sold it (smacks forehead) but I had a Jess Horn ZDP-189 sprint that had been reground by Tom Krein that I used in the kitchen. It was great at slicing and dicing tomatoes, cukes, onions, garlic, etc.

Spyderco has dipped its toes into the "torch" market before.

I think it'd be cool to have a Ladybug paired up with a Photon light that throws a Spydie symbol.

I've never taken one apart and I rarely give detail cleanings, either. They just don't get that dirty.

In practice what happens is that I have to use goo gone on my blades to remove tape residue, then a rinse n dry and back in the pocket.

I would like for somebody from Spyderco to weigh in on this since the eBay seller claims to be a former employee.

You might check out the Mino Kami Japanese folder on A. G. Russell's website. Traditional and modern all blended together to make a pretty sweet looking knife.

A. G. Russell sells a folding kitchen knife with a santoku style blade that looks pretty nice.

My only similarity is that I have limited skill :o
