I can think of very few ways better to defeat totalitarian tyrants, communists, etc. than to promote and stimulate free enterprise and capitalism within a country they wish to hold captive. Once people taste free enterprise and an economy based on open markets, prosperity based on your work effort ...

evolution

I believe that it started as ATS-34 then CPM440V,CPMS30V,BG42,CPMD2 and as mentioned CPMS90V plus more to come. Having used all I think the latest D2 will prove to be a great long term user. Sharp, durable & resharpens well. 440V, S30V and BG42 are super steels but really hard and not near as ...

Sad state of affairs

SpyRC,
I think you have a C15 full size introduced in or about 1990. New or near new is a truely rare thing. I think that option 3 is the way to go though with an understanding of what the trust / friendship issue is at hand.

Stay true to the basic orginal design. Peel ply Carbon Fiber, S30V Steel, nested ( Walker ) Liner lock, deep carry wire clip. In the size you are talking about it would be a perfect EDC. Maintain that awesome action of the originals and you have a real winner. G10 could be used if a more market ...

Anger management ????

It's just a vest. Take a deep breath, take a pill, whatever man. Your vent here is out of line. I am sure a calm and collected phone call could remedy the issue. Give it a go.

Issues

Catalog design, layout and production are usually done many months prior to their release to the public. You go with what you know at the time. Manufacturing issues or design issues pop up at very inopportune times and are not necessarily quickly resolved. This is most likely what is at work here ...

Very true Michael. It has more to do with comfort and confidence. We will some day have to explore how many forumites have ever actually had the real life need to deploy a knife for SD anyway. Preference in carry is more for daily, common task, non-sd uses and is the real consideration for most ...

Old habits die hard

Tip Down. Using the Spyder Draw or Flick or snap or what ever you want to call it. With a little practice you can deploy the blade faster than any automatic ever dreamed and at least as fast as with the wave. If you ever get the opportunity to have Sal demonstrate it will blow your mind. You grasp ...

Mike - I will order one without the Tek-lok hole. Please advise how and when and consider it a done deal. The combo of inside the pant & the G hook carry options would be perfect. Thanks for the offer.

overrated

FWIW - I have found that stropping or polishing the edge is usually not necessary for the kinds of utility edges that are required on the average knife. A razor is another thing completely. Use a Sharpmaker and the white rods, flat side and make your last 3 or 4 passes feather light on the stone ...

Knife shop in I believe the Brookridge Shopping Center in Denver. Late 1981 or early 1982. C01 SE Worker. Shop owner had one in his pocket. He pulled it out, snapped it open, showed me the clip and the SE blade and it was all over. I had to have it. It was my EDC for many years. The sickness didn’t ...

The 204

The Sharpmaker has both Diamond Rods for radical steel removal or reprofiling as well as some ultra fine white ceramic for a polished finish. You should contact the SFO for info on these additions to your Sharpmaker set. I think you will find that as usual Spyderco has addressed the issue.
