Yeah, they're basically the same. The main difference I know of is that the Merlin has a 2.5mm thick blade, and the Harpy is 3mm. I think the reson for that is because the Merlin uses the same handle as the Delica, which is also 2.5mm. The difference is visibly noticeable, but I don't think it would...

I'll second the Calypso, Sr. [at least for the moment]. Good steel, decent blade length, micarta handles, and an absolutely lovely shape. I've got both pe and serr., and am usually carrying one or the other. I also like the delica and my ss harpy for edc, so I suppose they're 2nd and 3rd. Frank Edit...

I never cared much for the ss handles either, until I bought a ss harpy. The steel handle is muche gentler on my suit than the g-10 would be, and really does "glide" in and out of the pocket. However, to reduce the appearance of finger prints on the knife, I removed the clip, and took some...

I bought some SAK's, a Kershaw, and a CRKT from Bayou Laforche- excellent service, the product arrived when he said it would, and everything was in excellent condition. I'd definitely do business with Roger again.

Endura II w/ATS-55?

Are the Endura II, or the Delica II, produced with ATS-55 blades? I have a Spyderco catalog, and the blade steel listed for these knives is AUS8. Are the newer models being made with the ATS-55, or was my information wrong?

Thanks,

Frank
