Re: Spyderco Model Help
That is a Tufram coated Aluminum handle C07S Police model. Some runs had POLICE or POLICE MODEL on the blade, some did not. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/kk28/yablanowitz/DSCN2212.JPG?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bounds https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/kk28/yablanowitz/DSCN2216....

Re: Hey Sal - any news on the Maxamet Military?
Any news I missed on a Maxamet Military? It's not likely to happen for the Military. That one seems to have been abandoned in favor of the Military2. As for when that will happen, I'd give it a couple more years. The last yime I was out there, they didn't even have machinery in the new factory area...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Why so many discontinued? Poor sales. Why the current offerings? Because Sal and company are still trying. The market has shown that we say we want exotic materals but what we actually want is lower prices. That's an interesting assessment. I have no data to support nor refute your contention, but ...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
So this started me looking at what was available from Spyderco. And I came away with questions. Why so many discontinued fixed blades? Why the current offerings? Why the limited selection of steels when they have so many awesome steels for the folders? Why a lack of bushcraft knives, maybe I missed...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Spyderco has been trying to break into the fixed blade market for years without much luck. Really? Their fixed blades are always outrageously priced. There are at least some entry level options now. But Spyderco tries to charge folder prices for fixed blades. Oh, really? When the Temperance came ou...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Spyderco has been trying to break into the fixed blade market for years without much luck. It seems the knife buying market sees Spyderco as a folding knife company, not a fixed blade company.

Re: Endura w/armorer tool (Not Lone Wolf?)
Unless it was custom made, you probably need to schedule a mental acuity check up. The closest thing I know of would be on the Remote Release, and that's not very close. Lol gotta love the response....I know a lot of you would know way more than me. Thats why I wasnt afraid to ask. This would have ...

Re: Anyone have a card with "fraud prevention services" get in the way of buying stuff?
I've had a couple of transactions declined by fraud protection, and it really ticks me off. Apparently, 66 years is not old enough to decide for myself what I can spend my money on. What pissed me off even more is that fraud prevention didn't stop someone from using Venmo to steal $500 out of the sa...

I don't much care for combo edges at all. Plain or serrated, one or the other.

Re: 3 on a tree
Dad told me they used to flip the shift lever over to the left side of the column. Reverse was then pull back and down, the first to second shift was an easy slap down and third for cruising was up and away so the lever was high and out of the way. And you could keep your arm around your girl the wh...

Re: If you know anything about the Mule Team
Sorry for the bringing up the dead but YES I have searched this forum very briefly but what exactly is "cobalt special"? Is that something that is knowable elementally and.. how's it actually made? I gathered it's a laminated construction which.. makes absolutely no sense to me. I can't j...

Unless he edited something and got autokicked to moderation again. I don't know how long that can happen. Just checked (cause I searched for one interesting post of his anyway): Palestrina (the op) made 13 posts (which are all still there) and started new topics himself before this now missing post...
