Re: buck 303

I bought a Buck 303 many years ago as a teenager. Heck, I still have it. Wasn't impressed one bit with the quality.

It's not the 1960s original version. But that's okay....

Re: Knife Purchase Ethics Question

Nope, never been in that situation. But to be completely honest, if a seller is too lazy to do a bit of basic research on what they have.... I'm not going to educate them. Why? It's their responsibility. Only exception I make is if the seller is very elderly, or visibly handicapped. Yes, I pity the ...

Some great responses, and an excellent pic.

Thanks guys. :)

Will likely go with the aftermarket G10 scales option as it seems the easiest.

Little help please: Delica4

Okay, could have sworn there was a G10 handled version out there of the Delica4, but can't find them for sale. Am I wrong? Also, would it be possible to swap out the blade on a Kahr Arms Delica onto a G10 Delica handle? Not sure which blade I'd prefer on a G10 handle version. Will likely get one of ...

Yup, business as usual. A person with evil intent murders others.... Let's go after the inanimate objects that he used. Sadly, that type of stupidity never gets old.

Give someone a gift, and they expect one in return that is at least close to the same price-point as what they gave you. Just how it is.

No offense intended, but the lesson here is to always EDC a small, personal FAK (First-Aid Kit).

Or, at the very least, a handful of Band-Aids in one's wallet or credit card case.

Re: Copper handled kitchen knives?

Problem with copper is that it absorbs sweat and bacteria from your hands. Thus, some say copper smells. Keeping those handles constantly clean is going to be a chore.

Re: The loss of common courtesy

Depends on what country/world you are referring to. In the USA, courtesy towards authority figures has certainly faded as people are quicker to question "why?". Courtesy towards the opposite sex has changed too depending on views of chivalry vs sexism. In the 70's Serpico exposed the shee...

Cut down piece of an old leather belt. Works just fine. Sometimes, the heel of my palm. (No, not kidding.)

Re: More NY insanity....

BTW, for those who missed it, the horrendous corruption inside the NYPD that was exposed during the 1970s, has returned with a vengeance! Bribes, mis-management, corruption in general. Bribes including those to get the almost unheard of civilian gun permits in the city. Corruption to the point that ...

Re: More NY insanity....

Unfortunately Cold Steel seems to call a LOT of things machetes that aren't machetes. The interesting thing is that the new additions to the Penal Code don't include a definition of the term machete. Not surprising. Gravity knives are illegal here in NYC. But that whole fiasco with D.A. Vance took ...

Re: Car question: How to stop a brakeless car?

One note about applying emergency brakes.... You want to push down on that left-most pedal slowly, or pull up on the handle slowly as well. Especially if you're going at a very high rate of speed. In the Winter, you can try to steer at an angle towards a snow bank. Not adviseable at a high rate of s...
