On June 11, 2011, BladeSports International held its annual World Championship competition in Atlanta, Georgia.
In a blazing 90+ degrees Fahrenheit, 13 competitors were in attendance.

Here are the results of all competitors that participated:

This will be the first competition of the BladeSports USA 2011-2012 season. July 9, 2011 in Ellensburg, WA at 1pm. The competition is free to observe. There will be a pork and beef barbecue immediately following the competition, also free.

Everyone is welcome to my home to watch and eat.

Spyderco does not yet make a competition knife, but they are working with their sponsored cutters to develop a design.

By the way, How many points do i get for the cake slice?

We have been using CPM M4, in our BladeSports competition blades for years. Storing the blade dry is important. We also use Silicone spray, purchased at the local ACE Hardware store, to coat the blades before and after competition. I havn't had any rust issues since using this product.

I don't know who does the typing, but going from spelling challenge correctly in one sentence to chalanges in the next sentence... Maybe it's just that they hit the limit of what spell check couldn't handle.

I will always be the "Man in pink" in my heart, but there are times to wear pink, and there are times to wear Spyderco red.

Thanks a ton for your remembering my humble beginnings in the cutting ...

Since the light cutting is separated from the chopping do you have to use the same knife?

If not it will be fascinating to see the design changes.

Each competitor may use a different knife for each event, or may resharpen before each event.

The US National Championships for the 2010-2011 season are going to be held at the Ozark Folk Center, in Mountain View, AR on May 14, 2011.
