Carbon fiber is stiffer. It is a functional improvement, IMO, on single nested liner knives like the Military and totally unlined knives. A CF Military seemed stiffer, with less scale flex, to me than G10 knives with dual nested liners. If you get to handle the peel-ply generation of CF that Spyderco...

Right now the problem is that ZDP is only available in high-end William Henry's, and in some long-anticipated sprint runs from Spyderco. This insanity should die down once the market is saturated, where everyone who wants a ZDP knife has at least one. Though it seems like a lot of collectors are try...

I don't think VG10 or S30V are exotic anymore ! Spyderco uses VG10 on almost all there folder and S30V is used by a lot of makers. I doubt if ZDP would really be by that much more than S30V. At least $25 more. By exotic steels we mean S90V, S125V, and ZDP-189. VG-10 and S30V are standard steels for...

Hi Guys, It would probably help if we could keep all responses on one thread. The bigger the coonsolidated buzz, the better chance it has of happening. Here's the original thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=408580 If you can't post on Bladeforums, please note that here and I'...

I remember someone posting on this forum that the zdp is equivalent to another brand of steel sold by another company cold steel? Anyone remember this ? Sam You are probably thinking of something I said. There is no metallurgical equivalent to ZDP-189 from any other manufacturer, but I would expect...

Why is :spyder: not making more knives with this great new lock? When BM got their hands on the Axis, they went crazy with it, putting it on almost every single knife they made, and I'm very glad they did. :spyder: seems to be all about lockbacks lately ... I'd love to see more knives come out with...
