Given all the Bug Out Bags, What Ifs, etc...

Given all the thought and preparation that go into people's ("Sheepdog's" at least) daily carry gear, BOBs, home/auto/travel preparedness kits, MBC training, etc: I got to thinking about a more likely possibility that it may pay to prepare for. Legal Issues: Some of the more recent, widely...

Oh how I wish I could swing some training right now. :( For all those there and who learned so much, and had a great time...u stink! And you shouldn't be able to talk about it. :D JUST KIDDING ;) Sounds like it was great. On your side note: I think most of use have fallen victim to this at one point...

As a Firefighter I never used the spring-loaded-carbide-tipped-glass-breaker that I carried. If you're outside of the car there is always something to break a side window with (even a regular :spyder :) . Just pop that bad boy against one of the corners and Bob's your uncle. If you're in the car cut...

Scalpel blades in the OR come in sealed individual packages that click into the handles that come with the rest of the autoclaved instruments (some handles are also disposable plastic types). It really depends on the Doc's preference. I, too, have heard that knapped (obsidian I think) blades are sha...

Jim Keating's Hornet...

I had one of the old bead blasted versions of the Hornet and I never cared for it. 1) For the reasons that Dr. Lecter stated. 3) The grip shape worked well for me but the alum. frame felt slippery around the edges (except where there was jimping). 2) Personally did not care for the bead blasted fini...

My own design tweak on the Clinch Pick

With pointy Ronin-like Wharnie blade, flip-side chisel grind, Gripping grooves all the way 'round the handle, milled translucent G-10 with olive G-10 pins, tang under handle has 3 drilled lightening holes. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i20...

No, I haven't seen it. It is a fixed blade. I figure if I don't want to hold onto it I'll give it to an acquaintance of mine in CAG for Chirstmas.

The H1 Dyad and the Airborne are in Sal's casual bombshell thread. I'm guessing the Airborne sometime early next year... I would love to see the Dyad by Fall 2008. I know that Sal and the Gang have quite a few irons in the fire so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

I was surprised I didn't see any recommendations for a Swamp Rat Howling Rat for a fixie. Cliff Stamp loved it...to death. Of course a proper prybar (or prybaby) would be best. Folder wise...no one liked the Emerson HD line? Other that being the "Hardest to use knives" I thought some folks...

The H-1 Dyad is a bit smaller than the old C44.

Can't say much more than that at this time.

The link to that bird feeder video was hilarious! :D

I saw that Discovery Channel thing a couple of years ago too. I loved the "advanced" maze they set-up for the squirrels to go through to get the seed.

From Fownews.com: Sinister Squirrel Embarks on Seven-Day Reign of Terror t seems the residents of Winter Park, Fla., can rest easy as unspeakable evil has met its just end.
