I LOVED AMP! Some of the coolest stuff around. Too bad they kind of faded, we need more innovation like that. You are one lucky guy to have that bike. They are still around and still has parts for their products but no more bikes ! I would not trade mine for anything else! I still look around for a...

I bought my AmpResearch frame from them which I started to build from the frame up and used parts from them also. Took me almost a year to finish the bike I now use but worth it. Uses only titanium or carbon fiber where I can get it. I would recommned them. Too many health problems to do any serious...

My favorite is the Calypso Jr.(ZDP) as I love the blade profile! With STR's help and guidance I have had 3 done. One all titanium handles(sold) ,one ivory micarta(which I stupidly lost) and my latest is in carbon fiber and ivory micarta( I presently own). Only problem with the is that it has pins th...

yes, this is a framelock and the whole lockside is zytel and is lined inside with a piece of metal( the whole locking side) I suppose for strength and for tension. As it has Walker lock which does lock it securely, can't budge it when lock. Oh well, I will use it and time will tell.

Yes, it is the same with the LE model also. I have tried to see if it is not secure but seems to be fine, at least for kind of use I need a small knife for.I tried to disengage the lock but seems to hold. I have to admit that the metal insert is kind of thin but the zytel lock bar is thick. I doubt ...

Yeah, I saw that but wanted a shorter blade. The Schrade is only 3 " compared to 3 3/8 for the Helios and the longer handles. Plus the high hollow grind of the Schrade is really terrific.

William Henry has a knife like this design. The thumb must hold the blade open using the extended part, right? Don't you think it be better shorter, as I think it sticks out too much in the closed position.I understand that the longer it is, the more leverage but you cut downwards anyway. That looks...

Lock seems to lock tight when engaged, can you be more specific? Thanks for bringing this to my attention as I wanted this mainly for the BG42 blade. Only thing I don't like is the tipdown carry and the overly large clip( I hope to change it).

Two things I would have, a 3" neck knife and a Kahr PM9. Both light and unobtrusive.
