I know I'm missing the stainless PE and the prca micarta pe, anybody know if there was a prca stainless pe model? I've never seen one if there was.

Yes, there were several serrated versions, my collection isn't as complete as others', but here it is:

The best thing about the micarta caly jr is that it is unlined, so it's almost as light as the frn models. I like mine.

Looks great, STR. You rebuilt my horn last July in Green canvas micarta, and it's still a constant companion, I'm sure the owner will love this one, the wood really looks nice.

Very nice, STR. In the end, being bead blasted, the G10 ended up looking like the turquoise canvas micarta that you've used in the past.

Kershaw seems to be bucking the trend, also. They seem to have more American-made models these days, at competitive prices.

I, too, have forsaken Spyderco for a couple of Kershaw knives lately. I have the zdp/titanium leek, a full-size cyclone, and one of the new aluminum-handled speed bumps. The sandvik steel has impressed me, the speed bump takes a really nice edge with the sharpmaker and holds it quite well. I may ...

I have a crossbill (what a hunk of steel), several harpies, and a tasman or two. All are really different knives. I've carried the crossbill a lot at work, and loaned it out to the guys trying to convert them over to something better than the no-name steel pocket knives most of them carry. I've ...

Between the spin and the ss cricket, I think the cricket has the better clip for money clip usage. The spin's clip is somwhat short and stout, I think you'd get more bills under the cricket's clip. The new etched ss dragonfly in the '07 catalog looks pretty good to me, as well.

I have never thought of the caly jr as a <3" knife, so I must add my accolades for an frn caly jr, since it is technically <3". Thanks deacon for pointing this out. The black sprint run is available cheap right now, and I would invest in one of them before anything else. Pocket scalpel is the right ...

Here are my thoughts, for what they're worth (not much, to be honest):

Kopa: I have a cocobolo user kopa, very nice ergonomics, great cutter, butter smooth action. Possible downsides would be heavy, short blade for the handle length, not fond of the clip.

Cricket: I have a pe cricket, but it's my ...

Nice knife. I think Collector #102 is one of New Graham's numbers they get, that's where my tasman salt with #102V came from.

I bought two black zdp caly jrs. Both have some slight wobble when closed (all my caly jrs have this). One had wobble when open, or side to side blade play. I took this one as my user, kept the other as my keeper. I laid down my 3 lb hammer on its side to use as an anvil, and gently tapped the rivet ...

will_77,
nice group of caly jr's. I'm a FRN PE fan. I never did much to chase down a PE Micarta. I did get one of the SS PE's though :) This model makes for great for gifts too. I wanted a RED one for a while, I had STR turn a UKPK into one with Red Micarta. You could see if he could put Green ...

My dream caly jr would be a green canvas micarta handle, with the laminated zdp189 blade. The unlined micarta ones are great because they're strong but still light. I'm carrying the new black frn zdp189 caly jr now, and they just cut like no tomorrow.

My C52 Collection to date...

I guess if I had to pick my favorite Spyderco, it would be the Caly Jr. I'm not buying nearly as many Spydercos since I've gotten married (big surprise), but I've always had a soft spot for the Caly. Here is my collection to date. The main one I'm lacking is the stainless pe, that one seems to be ...
