Re: Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight - surprised me (PICS)

Love the knife, is my current EDC. Big enough to do a lot (if not everything on a daily basis), small enough to carry easily and be a not-so-scary-knife. Lightweight, too. And a very good steel. :-)

A 'slightly bigger' LBK if you want, an upsized dragonfly. Good stuff!

Re: Release date of Lil' Temperance?

VG-10 is good, too! :-)

Missed Wouter's pages/pictures, I'm a bit out of the loop it seems.
Hope to see it in more colours than 'just black' G10. An maybe, one day an FRN one..? Keeping the weight and costs down (and my pockets in one piece..!).

Re: Release date of Lil' Temperance?

What, a new Lil'Temperance?

But: please no titanium handles or all that, just a big slab of g10 with liners, a compression-lock and s35 (should do). You know, like the original :-D
Only slightly better.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Native 5 in CPMS35V. After carrying the Sage 1 for a long while I settled on this (for now). Bit smaller (wich is good, sometimes), bit lighter (doesnt really matter tbh), bit more friendly (main reason).

I love it! :)

Nice collection.

I like most/all of those models, but I do miss some serrations in there :)

I have a delica and a salt 1. I prefer the delica (4), it fits my hand better. Dont have a 79 mm rescue but a bigger one, in ats 55. Didnt carry it much, it's in the car now for if I ever need a real rescue knife. However, I'd try a sage 1 if I were you. I have one and it's very, very good. Good ste...

Will probably buy a set of 701 profiles and learn to sharpen serrations with them.
And keep on running.

That's it :)

Yeah, I think I nailed it down to the 92-94 era. Steel markings and all. Only 1 mounting, the clip has the patent on it. Strange thing though, I've played a bit with it and now, when I compare it with my Sage 1, I find the latter rather 'stubby'... oh dear... Also, no jimping on the blade, too...

Bought an old Police, could use some info.

Hi all, I've just bought an old Police. Cleaned it and lubed it, I like it! It's quite big, but unlike my SS PE Endura 4, I can see myself carry this (the endura didnt fit as well as this one, and I like this in SE). Anyway, it came in a (slightly squased) red box, without year or month markings. It...

Yeah, the good thing about H1 is that I could wear it clipped when swimming... and I like the size of the hole on the black bladed pacific. Still pondering a bit. I can pick up a slightly used/carried SE E4 and perhaps use that one (and make a decent user out of it) or try and save some and get a bl...

Hmmm... I use a D'Fly at work a lot. While it is a good knife (and quite allright in H1 for running) I doubt I'd get it open when I need it. It's kinda small, wich is perfect while working but not so good for opening under stress (even more so when tired from running). I'll see if I can get a big sa...

 yeah,... I should carry a cane too :D

I prefer something lightweight though, running with a utilitybelt on may have it's charmes but it's probably not for me :D .

Thanks for the comments so far guys. I was afraid I'd may have missed some new(er) models that might fit the bill.

Sadly, OC is not an option over here.

I'll look into the spyderhawk.
