OK, just PM me
I didn't get a definitive answer. (Definitive means from Spyderco!) I want to be a good guy here, so if you're interested, PM me. I think that's ok, no? I am no expert, but I think I noticed some interesting or hard to find items: two serrated Caly3 with numbered blades, a green Lum Chinese (serrate...

to name a local store that has some hard-to-find Spydies? I know you're not supposed to sell things here.
I just nabbed a L'il Temp. Saw some other goodies.
Thanks,
Aram

Hi Guys, AWACS, I am going to try some oil instead of poly. Any thoughts on what I should use to glue it in with? Would you glue the insert in and then apply the finish? TIA Bruceter Bruceter, I've been thinnking about my post. I feel like I should clarify a couple things. First, I'm not a pro wood...

Knife for cutting carpet
OK, let's say I decide to DIY-install carpet in my living room. Since I'd be saving all that money, and I'd need something to cut the carpet with anyway, and since going through 20 utility blades would not an efficient use of my time, and since a sharp surgical cut gives better holding power, preven...

Bruceter, As a woodworker and knife appreciator, let me make 2 suggestions. One. Please do not bury that beautiful walnut under several layers of plastic. That's essentially what the poly finish will do. There is a definite advantage to poly, granted - it'll stand up to anything. It also won't feel ...

Problem with my spin
I just received my Spin from NGK. It's a brilliant little cutter, perfect fit for my XL hands, slices like anything. Here's the problem. I left it in the tray in my fire safe. Being new to knives, I didn't realize that leaving a Spin unattended with Dodos is asking for trouble. Live and learn. Here'...

Chinook. Confused.
I'm fairly new, so can you unconfuse me? Spyderco web site lists Chinook II, hollow ground blade. Spyderco paper catalog 2006 shows Chinook II (not Chinook III), flat ground blade (and if you're into details, Mr. K's sig on the other side of the blade). I see posts about the upcoming Chinook III, no...

I'm a noob, so I'm not the most knowledgeable guy around. But I can tell you this. If you leave a Native III in your Levi's, they'll come out of a wash/dry cycle slighter harder to open and close, no longer flickable, but the blade none the worse for the wear. Not that I'd be so careless....

Cleaning Sharpmaker rods, simple Q
Instructions show Ajax or similar, with green Scotchbrite. Bon Ami is ok for this?
Also, the only Ajax I can find any more contains chlorine. Is ok?
Thanks,
Aram

Slipery slope and Dodo Qs
Hi all. New to the forum here. Er... Hello, my name is Aram, and I'm sliding down that slippery slope. OK, 2 in my possession and one on order isn't very slippery slopey, but I do have the Spyder bug! And I have a couple questions (and maybe need a push....) I love my Native III EDC, but lots of car...
