Susan, The Cat will be great. It will have two advantages over the Sage. Smaller size and thinner blade material. I doubt many would find unlocking a Native IV difficult. But alas I choose not to buy the Native IV so I could be wrong. Check out the Terzuola. It isn't full flat ground but it cuts alm...

Lets just say don't abuse the knife. OK? That's not to say if one were to stab through something like breastbone the knife would slip out of the hand/cut oneself etc., the knife would survive and also would not cut you. I dare say having never held the Tenacious, it is a knife that will cut you. And...

I'm not qualified to explain the manufacture of CF but suffice it to say, a bad batch can have bubbles form in the layers during the bonding and curing process. This would be an issue for aircraft and such, which would be put at risk from an improperly manufactured and weakened product. Not really a...

Could be an issue. Can you take some pictures? I don't have any chips out of mine. And I never noticed until just now, from a close inspection, the surface along the edge has some material flaked off. With my eyes I really have to look hard too see this flaking. There is not a lot either. But I look...

I just bought a Tk40. It'll be here this coming week
After this thread re-sparked my desire for the TK40, I read up on it. And bought one. Thanks a lot. :) Tk40 has more of a flood beam. Which I like. Mag flashlights and modified Mags have beams that are tightly focused. Good for throwing the beam a long distance. One time while using the Mag85 I ran ...

I made myself the Mag85. Truthfully I had forgotten its name. When I did the Mag85, LED's weren't near this bright. I liked the LED's more, but wanted the incandescent brightness of the Mag85. After building it, owning such a awesomely bright flashlight, I focused more on knives. In spite of not nee...

Choosing the Native is definitely a good choice. It's a comfortable knife to use and has been around a long time as a testament to it being a great knife. I've bought from these places and others as well: http://cgi.ebay.com/Spyderco-Native-Black-FRN-C41PSBBK-Black-Blade-Knife_W0QQitemZ280355338650Q...

Being dumb enough to use my Leafstorm, it must be dumb luck I haven't cut myself on the end of the blade. Although the point has touched skin no blood has been drawn. The lanyard hole is very functional. I love its position while cutting with the lanyard around the wrist. It hangs well around my nec...
