That is another question I had as far as Spyderco policy goes, Teddy. If someone mistakenly purchases a fake Spyderco, and sends the actual knife to Spyderco for verification, will they return it to the person, since they did pay for it, or, will they keep it and/or destroy it?

Sure. He could send it in along with $5 for return shipping. Only thing is, I'm pretty sure if it's a fake Spyderco won't return it.

One minor point. Glad you got the clip off, but if a coin worked, the knife is not a Native 4. If it's FRN, then it's either an original Native Lightweight (flat steel clip) or a Native III (wire clip). If it's all stainless, its a Native 2. All of those used the barrel bolt fastener. If you're afraid a given knife might fail in normal use, carry one that you trust. The only real way to test lock strength is to exceed it. Once you've done that, the knife is broken. Expensive way to gain fairly useless information.

You speak of a problem with the grind, but all you mention is that the edge of both knives is dull near the handle. If that's the only issue, and seeing that you seem to have excellent sharpening equipment, a good sharpening would seem to be the solution.

Which probably just means dealers were given an ETA for the Manix Lightweight, and then production was delayed.

Pretty much agree with your list except I'm not sure about the Tuff. ETA on it may still be too far out to include it. I'd hope to see the Sage IV, but don't really expect to.

At one time Spyderco numbered the entire first batch of collaboration model. Generally that meant around 1200 knives, sometimes more, sometimes less. The number on your Chinook simply means it was part of that first batch.
